StevenGuthmiller
Well guys, I finally finished it and I have to say, I'm very happy with how it turned out. I don't want to seem immodest, But I really think that if nothing else, it's probably the "prettiest" car in my collection. I'm very happy that I chose the color combination that I did. It really makes it stand out from the crowd. Anyway, all of you that followed the WIP already know what was involved with this project, so I won't bore you with the details, but I just want to send a great big thank you to all of the individuals who either contributed parts or advice on this project. You are all enormous contributors to the success of this model. I thank you with all of my heart! Anyway.......on with the show! Of course, as always, all remarks, criticisms or whatever crosses your mind is welcome. Spottedlaurel
Wonderful! You have every right to be very proud of it. The overall look is great, it's a very attractive car and the colour is great, but it's also the glimpse of the details and remembering your hard work on them - it really has paid off. 1972coronet
I never noticed the pearl finish on the interior until now ! WOW ! I can just hear this thing idling at a traffic light at an interstate acceleration ramp . The light turns green , and the driver gooses the throttle to get-up-to-traffic-speed ; then the second carburetor opens-up , dumping Sunoco 260 into the thirsty cylinders... cruising off into the sunset ; the car's colours matching the night sky . doorsovdoon
Looks absolutely amazing! So much detail to take in, the badges, hood hinge springs, carb filters, it really looks like a real car.

restoman
Steven... you're not playing fair. We all post pics of our model builds, while you photoshop real cars onto scale backgrounds. Not fair. J/K. Absolutely stellar!!!!!!

StevenGuthmiller
Thank you all so much! It was a little confusing at times trying to find the best solutions for certain obstacles with this build, (ie, coming up with a system for getting the original interior to fit the modern chassis) but it all came together fairly well. It was challenging at times, but still a lot of fun. Thank you all again for your kind comments! 6 hours ago, 1972coronet said: I can just hear this thing idling at a traffic light at an interstate acceleration ramp . espo
I learned a lot watching your build on this. Every little detail is so well done that it's hard to tell it's a model in most of the pictures. The color is one that Pontiac's looked the best in in that era also. Really shows your appreciation of the car.
StevenGuthmiller
Thanks again fellas! Much appreciated! 3 hours ago, 1972coronet said: Thanks much ! It was obvious to me that you had some sort of "Je Ne Sais Quoi", ( I had to look that up) with the language. Steve
