David , the frame was not broken but bent so out of shape it could not be saved. I heard this is a common problem with this kit. I removed it and cut the glass down to make it look like a sporty type windscreen.

Ooo Ray. . I should just take it back then. I’m not anywhere that talented with altering things. Another 80 mile round trip tomorrow.

Got two '64 Oldsmobile's Original's off ebay, and going to restore both. One is missing the hood. The pale yellow is a Promo.

Let me guess.

The prices of these are starting to come down a little? ;)

People ditching them for what they can get before the kit is available. Sounds normal.

Well I got both for $60.01 which includes the shipping and taxes. Just wanted to try and save them, from being "parted out" that some ebay buyer/sellers do. I still plan on getting the new release when ever it gets on the market, and not that pre sales from Japan listing!

I'm fascinated by seeing more and more modified Hot Wheels diecasts. They seem tiny to me so how are they done? I'll have to look on YouTube to see if they are any on video. So whilst shopping at Tesco's this morning I spotted this Porsche 914 in Safari form.

At just £1.50 I'm also surprised to see them at this cheaper price.

Magazine day !

Ya notice all the magazines come at the same time? Like when the postal route carrier gets around to the 3rd class bin!

I envy you! My Walmart has evidently stopped carrying G&A and GUNS so I subscribed last month. I wonder if I'll get these issues.

40% HL this week so bought the '67 Chevelle not really for the car itsself but for the super wide rear tires to use on my '55 Chevy build.20210408_173329.jpg.6b708ed8590c1116c6deb0b5fbb95729.jpg

Your '55 would have dropped right on that chassis, both cars having a 115" wheelbase. B)

You are so right. Just checked it...only thing that would need to be done would be to cut off the front fender wells on the '67 chassis.

A few more came through the door. Everything for my new airbrush. Resin 59 Buick convertible kit, Ford six cylinder for another Ranchero project, 59 Buick grill and continental kit, 62 Lincoln, a box of 23 old built ups from one member, and other kits frome trades with other members.

I now have almost all the parts to build a more accurate model of my old '60 Ranchero.

Speaking of Sam I Am, thanks to him I got most of a '70 Buick GSX engine/trans to fix up the AMT '69 430 to look more like a 455 for my '70 Wildcat. Got the belts/pulleys/PS pump, alternator, and the one valve cover in the purple pond right now. :)

MCM Issue# 208 is in the house!

Arrived today.

Outstanding issue . . . great work, Gregg, Darryl, Tim, Larry, Rachael, and David!

* Of course, some might say I'm a bit partial -- since it features 8 pages (37 pix) of coverage of the dscV16 - DESERT SCALE CLASSIC Virtual Venue Model Car Championship!!  We're pretty proud of that.

A great group of entries are featured, and, I think it's the first time I've ever seen it - a QR code you can scan for more coverage!!

Cool.  Fantastic, even!!

Congratulations (again) to all the MCM Forum members who won awards in last year's dscV16 - and - congratulations (anew) to all the MCM Forum members whose entries were selected to be featured in Issue# 208!  You guys all made us look good.

[FYI - In case you missed it, we decided to Do It Again!  Currently, dscV17 is underway!  Don't miss it!]
