  1. if those are "curb feelers", he's doing it wrong.
  2. if you're going for a Pontiac "look" for the engine, the oil filter is on the wrong side. Pontiac blocks have the starter on the drivers side of the block.
  3. the headlight pods on the model are too big which throws off a few other part placements.
  4. I recently received a T-shirt that had this quote on it: "I can EXPLAIN it to you, but I can't UNDERSTAND it for you."
  5. when using this much BMF, you have to prep the surface with "Oil of Awesome". (I'm only kidding a little bit.)
  6. wow, that sticky barc is a great find, thanks for sharing.
  7. regarding the three holes in the firewall, I have seen photos of show cars that mounted gauges there, so I assumed they were cast there to mimic show car gauge placement.
  8. I really enjoy the detail work you add to your builds, thank you for sharing.
  9. PEBCAC?
  10. you cannot sway them with facts, their (little) minds are made up...just sayin
  11. maybe there are TWO sides to the flat earth and it spins so there is night and day... I only stipulate that parts of the earth are flat but I'm saying which parts. and oh yeah, the moon is hollow and cheesy, that's why it hasn't hit the flat earth yet. BEWARE THE CHEESE RAYS COMING FROM THE MOON!
  12. it's a roadster now?
  13. if you have a kit in mind I can probly supply photos of the kit/parts.
  14. there was recently a "Chrome" virus notice posted, that may have been the problem.
  15. are there four elephants under that disk that we can't see? and would they be standing on the back of a turtle?
  16. I would have suggested the same as Foxer... removing a vertical chunk from the back edge of the door to the front of the C-pillar would have reduced the huge slab of white issue. there are some nice elements to this build though... keep slicing and dicing.
  17. looks like someone left the "potato sack" passenger door hanging open
  18. Toast those that have gone, those that are serving now and those to come.
  19. I have seen a Studemino locally...which leads me to think it may be a "kit".
  20. a couple pontiac engines. a -dub
  21. this subject comes up occasionally, there have already been a couple threads on this subject. Here is a google search that lists threads on this site for this subject: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=site:modelcarsmag.com+LED Alternatively, you can do a google search for "simple LED circuits" that should show you what you need to do. A big decision is whether you plan to have the battery inside you model or not, after that it's just a process of connecting the LEDs correctly and mouting them in your model. I suggest building the lighting circuit outside of the model to test what you want it to do, then mount it in the model after you verify that it will perform as you need it to. Insufficient battery power may run the LEDs but they won't stay on very long.
  22. it looks great but I'm not seeing the "convertible" part of it.
  23. he'll probly get where he's going....one quarter mile at a time.
