As a car nut from a very early age, I discovered the hobby in my teens - it is totally relaxing for me (with some frustrations from time to time) to create models of cars that are out of reach and I will never possess in real life. Interests have changed over the last decades to mainly classic sports and race cars, but the fun is always there.

IIRC, Testors reissued the Italeri version of the Daytona, as they did with Italeri's 250 GTO.

Very nice model of one of Pininfarina's all-time classic Ferraris, Brian - well done !

Superb model of this Italian icon, Mario - though not a factory color, your custom paint suits it very well, together with the golden wheels - just fabulous! Is this the Fujimi enthusiast model or the Hasegawa kit (have both, but stored away) ?

Exceptionally well done model, Sidney - I regret selling off mine !

Friday afternoon I came across Motor-Max Aston Martin DB5 for € 12,99 (instead of € 22,99) - so I bought it against my initial intention. Only the green version had been available: Gramps46/Gary had shown us his 007 version last September here. The body proportions look good to me, but the model needs a lot of SNAKE-FU to reduce the toylike features: especially the interior (1-part interior tub with molded-in seats) leaves a lot to be desired - the dashboard is a seperate part. The grille and wheels will be toned down a bit, the headlights are not that great. The doors have those ugly doglegs (a letdown - we have been used to nicer solutions for that in the last several years). I've found pics of a nice DB5 in that very same color called "Goodwood Green" on the internet - with a little paint and detailing a nice model should be possible:

1954 Jaguar D Type - Archive

Thank you for showing us this very nice model, Gary ! Did you take the engine from one of the - then available - E-type kits? Revell's XKSS could be a good base for building a shortnose D-type... -
Excellent rendition of a kit that has a lot of issues - well done as always, Anders!

Gorgeous paint job on this fantastic model, Mike!

Once again a nice model (that you don't see very often) from your workbench, Mario !

Just happened to find that on ebay France - where a Japanese seller is asking MORE THAN $ 1000 FOR A DECAL SHEET . What's going on here? This can't be true - but what a steal: Shipping is FREE ! here is the link: https://www.ebay.fr/itm/153370904683?hash=item23b59e486b:g:pdoAAOSwnM1cXio9&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA8Mtt0gmiqsJZqegFpWx5y1rJdZknYO0coCSI0xk5aHoq538xmhXA0AIf6rAOkF%2FbP0HerUKcBP%2FKUoFceXxYr8MVzixwcKNHmgwGEHMD4oB6ltLcsGtioTDRcM9CmyZJUYXsfDTNk8ggHyQY2uGX1nLHfuon2SiQedVd5T4c9Yz154z7OmDxljMTjhbpHiQZklgS1g%2BSzQzZQpJcyKrRDlEagcnCfdn8wEsvMoJTp35jIU1pCemKReKDvTNBpkPViNXdj1%2BKleaIT2Jg6eIn4qQbc7C3KoGllJk6C7%2BDhg3OpUDI15cQ8AyR%2FxL7VwJvBg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5y0yZf3YQ

Excellent model, Gary - great to see a GT40 in another livery ! -
Of my styrene kits my most valuable is this 1/9 Protar bike kit (got it from my brother for my 60th birthday) - try to find one on ebay ! and the rarest ones are certainly these from the late 60'/early 70's: Rarest resin kits: John F. Johnson's Ferrari 246 SP and 5 kits from Paul Fisher (Chaparral 2 F, Ferrari 512 S longtail and Sunoco 512 M, Porsche 917 "Hippie" longtail and 917/20 "Pink Pig")
