  1. That’s looking very nice!
  2. That’s a great kit, and your colors are dynamite on it! Looks great so far?
  3. That is the picture I saw, I’m not good enough to make the charger fenders/hood work, so I just grafted the nose on, lol. Have an idea for the back end treatment, slightly different than what’s in those pics, but it is something I’m still undecided on. I’m sure this will take awhile to evolve though.
  4. The lower front treatment is still being assessed, but ya, some sort of air dam is gonna happen, have a few ideas, but wanted to get the nose roughed in first with some primer on it just to get a feel. Should be interesting.
  5. So, a buddy sent me a picture of what looked to be a chevy elcamino with a superbird/Daytona front clip and the wing on the back of the box, thought it looked cool, so, out came the saw and a half of an idea........
  6. The hood is a kit part. great looking build, I just love this kit and it’s sister variations
  7. Good looking set up! Next one must be orange though?
  8. Looks awesome from where I’m sitting, well done!
  9. Another beauty KJ, you’ve been turning out some stunning builds, great work.
  10. Junk yard dog, that’s a rare kit/find!
  11. That was horrible and awesome at the same time , plus I’m a huge fan of the 66 396!
  12. Rumor has it, it’ll be back......
  13. Looks great! Love your garage scene too.
  14. There is a topic on this in kit reviews
  15. Obviously, it’s a side dump?
  16. I hear ya, but, you’re masking anyway , so do darker lacquer color, mask, coat of light color primer , then your light color enamel, clear with enamel, and done. I get the light/dark issue, but to get the colors we want, sometimes we gotta go the extra mile to pull it off ( including some trips to the pond, been there, done it).
  17. Why not do the lacquer first ? When doing big rig motors I use enamel paint and then spray lacquer dull coat on it, had never seemed to cause an issue, but then again it’s not a part that I want looking shiny like a body .
  18. It happens, I have atleast 4 builds kicking around that have frustrated me and I need to fix stuff on, or just plain get after and finish. It’s art , so your muse must kick in and guide you to the finish line . Set it aside, create something else, and eventually the thing that was killing you will materialize and fall into place like nothing. Hang in there, it happens to all of us.
  19. Not much left to get that over the finish line.....
  20. Great work so far, going to be another great addition to the garage.
  21. Wow, that is horrible. Hopefully in time you can rebuild them.
  22. That’s a great looking rig, the colors really grab ya.
  23. Great build, this combo is on my to do list .........., someday, lol.
