  1. Been following this and it's looking real good. Just like I remember.
  2. This is coming along nicely. I was attending the drags in '62 and remember this style gasser well.
  3. Thanks Ace. I'll follow your advice and see what shows up.
  4. I thought possibly a bad battery so I had it tested. The test showed something drawing excess power with the engine off. I'm not sure that a bad alternator as Rob suggested could cause that.
  5. My 2003 car has developed a parasitic battery drain. Fully charge the battery at night and by morning it's completely dead. I don't have any idea how to track down the drain so this could get expensive.
  6. I had one of those about 45 years ago as well. I really liked it. Not sure which model it was but doesn't matter since it was stolen along with a compressor from my garage years ago. I may have to look for a replacement now that you reminded me.
  7. That Autocar dump truck is one that I would love to get. My Dad worked construction and drove one of those. He said it was the best truck he ever drove and he drove a lot of them.
  8. I really like this. The paint job is great.
  9. David, Have you thought ab out a dark red for the interior of the Chevy?
  10. Interesting topic. When I was 16 there was a guy around the corner selling a '34 Ford 5 window coupe for $500.00. I didn't have the money and by the time I had gotten it, he sold the car. Of course that was in 1960.
  11. The paint looks really good.
  12. Great article! He was a pretty bad a$$. Took some guts to go up against Joe Louise too.
  13. After 48 years together, I'm sure this isn't the first time you've been chief cook and bottle washer. I hope everything goes well for your wife.
  14. That kit looks great. As the former owner of a 67 Vette I'll be following this.
  15. I like them both. I also had a couple of Corvairs. My first was a 66 conv. much like your model, metalic blue with black interior and automatic. The second was a 64 coupe, navy blue with light blue interior and 4 speed. Both were fun to drive but I wish the 4 speed had been in the convertible. Better handling than the 64.
  16. Really like the color and the half tonneau cover with snaps.
  17. Looks great, very clean looking.
  18. Looks great and captures the time well. Well done.
  19. That looks good, especially for that scale. I always liked the Navy and Army pre-war paint schemes.
  20. Haven't got a picture but there's another Jennifer to consider, Jennifer Garner. Think about "what's in your wallet?"
  21. Th pikes peak idea sounds good. How about something along the lines of Aaron Kaufman's (Gas Monkey Garage) Falcon?
  22. As usual the engine is outstanding and I really like the green and white paint.
  23. Back to the original question, does anybody know what has happened to Cato?
  24. Great look into the past. Some interesting unusual cars too. I saw a Bugatti and maybe an Auburn? Not sure about that one. Don
