  1. Trust us Robert, the answers to all of modeling questions are just a few key strokes away right here on the forums.
  2. Great work. Is the farm a scene from your past? Nice to see a builder working in multiple scales and materials. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Did you work from photographs of the real thing? Amazing work! Real world weathering accurately done.
  4. A really great day at our house! We received our federal income tax refund and one of our neighbors brought us an 18 pack of toilet paper!! WOO HOO!!
  5. Lets face it fellow builders as modelers some of us have been in training for social distancing for decades !!
  6. Looking interesting. I also use water based paint for weathered basswood surfaces and will give you a suggestion to age some age to those boards. I sand them with the grain with those foam center finger nail sanding sticks you can find in any Walmart beauty section. I use a very aggressive grit and am always pleased with the end result. You might try a spare board to start with and vary the pressure you apply to have more color left at the top of the boards than at the bottom similar to real life painted stuff exposed to decades of wind, rain and sun damage. Good luck and be sure to post your progress here.
  7. I have seen this photo before and based on the ages of the vehicles in it I would think it is somewhere in the late 1920's. This might just be one best of those projects to display and label as "being inspired by" your original rather than an exact replica of it. I hope you decide to build it and look forward to seeing your posted photos.
  8. Killer build! Thanks for keeping us in the loop with all your posts.
  9. Welcome back Bob. Have fun getting lost in your own renewed styrene field of dreams.
  10. A wonderful source of information to be sure That's a wonderful source of information to be sure. Please keep us posted on your progress by posting the results.
  11. Where did you obtain your dimensional data to create your files? Unusual but very interesting subject matter.
  12. I would wedge cut a pie slice out of the donor hood to match the width of the roadster body being used. Please follow up on this and post your progress.
  13. This is from an AMT '32 Ford roadster kit. The small loop style roll bar is the single part that ties it to that particular kit. The headlight bar and windshield frame are obvious '32 Ford items.
  14. Typical Ritz quality...why am I not suprised!
  15. Thanks for posting the engine photo as not everyone knows where stuff was and/or should be attached and how simple the engines were in that era.
  16. Massive gas price increases! We ate breakfast here in Columbus an hour ago and the *****way across the parking lot had unleaded for $ 1.83. Before we could finish eating it went up to $ 2.40. ARGGGGG!!
  17. Very clean and accurate build. I never tire of seeing stock built Ford model T's. The addition of wooden trim parts and correctly oriented headlight lenses are great touches.
  18. Evidently she loves you even if you still play with cars. My wife of 57 years is tolerant and supportive of my hobby as well.
  19. Thanks for posting all the details of your work. This project is a tutorial in research, scratch building and attention to correct details. Amazing work. Thanks for sharing.
  20. As a builder that has a real problem making two of anything exactly alike,I seriously doubt I could build one of these cages. Do you use some some of a pattern to make the sides identical? Great work on pieces like the intersecting cross bar in the back. It is arrow straight and all the pieces are perfectly molded in. Cudos!
  21. Great results here! Quit while you're ahead. Photo is super crisp,if there were any flaws this close-up would have shown there.
  22. What do you like to build Randy?
  23. I have read all of his novels and always looked forward to discovering those were he inserted himself as a minor character in some of his own books. Thanks to him for hours of enjoyable reading.
  24. The boat is a very appropriate addition to this thread IMO. I'm sure a certain Mr.Boyd will agree as well.
