  1. I used some nail resin to cast a set of Supertrick/Centerline wheels for my '63 Chevy II wagon L/Stocker for the upcoming 24 Hr. build. I will probably cast a few quickies, just to try out finishing methods on the resin. The edge of the rims are so fine that it takes some effort to get the resin to completely fill them.
  2. I still have three or four of the newsletters from Master Modelers Club. I haven't looked at those things, in ages!
  3. I can't think of any kit other than the Johan/AMT Hornet funny car. I'm pretty sure that was just a promo body, mated to one of their FC chassis.
  4. Absolutely beautiful work! Really enjoying watching this come together.
  5. Dang skippy! You were absolutely correct. I have five more injectors to build, then I gotta' hook 'em up! It won't be long before I'll have to paint, too...whoopee!
  6. It's getting even more exciting! I'm with you--I'd rather build, than paint!
  7. I added the "flanges"/tabs that secure the 1:1 velocity tubes to the throttle bodies. I also started working on the injectors @absmiami had asked how/what I was going to do with the lines and fittings--now, I guess we both know! I cross-drilled .030" square styrene strip and inserted a small model RR hex bolt casting through it and cemented it with WeldOn 4. While it dried, I bored into a length of .030" hex rod, and stripped the end of a length of the pictured TCS wire. This wire is super flexible. It should work beautifully, here. I slipped a short length of the hex over the stripped end of the wire and super glued it (leaving just under .030" of the conductor exposed). Next, I drilled across the .030" strip, perpendicular to and across the original hole (thus, through the bolt). Finally, I super glued the wire with the hex fitting into the hole in the strip. Lastly, i dipped the fitting end into a bottle of brass metallizer, and painted the bolt head with non-buffing aluminum metallizer. Comments critiques and questions are always welcome. Thank fer lookin'!
  8. Those Roco Minitanks were very cool! There was an unbelievable variety of equipment!
  9. Thank you, my friend. Sometimes a different perspective, is all that's needed! It is kinda' pretty! Thanks, JC! Appreciate it!
  10. I'm really enjoying this, JC. Your work is extremely fine, and much better planned, than my own!? I've always preferred the notched-back to the fastback. Cool project.
  11. That is very cool!
  12. Those pedals look really nice. The texture is gorgeous! She's coming along, beautifully!
  13. I took a few days break break from this, as I just wasn't "feeling it", regarding the manifold. I played around with one of those RM Kustom Chopper kits I have up in the closet. I made a couple of mods to it, that I had planned, then took another look at this. I have decided that I don't need to build another one, because I like this one, better than I thought I did! That said, I went ahead with working on the linkages. The throttle shafts and links went together much easier than I was expecting. That was a nice surprise! I glued the fuel valve in place, as well. Next job will be installing the injector lines and fittings. Comments, queries and critiques are always welcome. Thanks for looking!
  14. That's Scale Model Supplies! Down in the basement. Locals call it "The Dungeon". That place is like stepping back in time! It's one of my favorite hobby shops, ever, and anywhere.
  15. My brush is a Badger 100G. It's the easiest thing, ever, to clean, and, still. I have a few aircraft kits, sitting around here. I reckon if I ever get around to them, I'll put in some time, with it.
  16. Which one? I assume you've visited Scale Model Supplies, in St. Paul? I loved that place, when I lived up that way! Very nice "comeback" build. Like the colors--stance is right on! Nice work!
  17. Same here. When I can be bothered to use my airbrush! I really should use it, more often. I mean, it's right there, ready to go--but, if I have a spray bomb that's close by...yeah!
  18. Yes, Francis. I cannot count the number of things I've built and/or detailed, and hidden, over the decades! In fact, I probably don't even remember most of them! Yet, here we are. ? Yesterday, I actually considered building another one, because I know I could make it better. That kind of stuff can be a real project killer, for me. "I know I can do that, better, but I don't want to, right now. What else is in the closet, to play with?" I thank you for your kind words, my friend.
  19. Micro SuperFilm. That is all! ?
  20. As I recall, back when P.E. was really just getting to be a "thing", somebody did one of the wrong foot!
