Started on the one I've had in my stash for years. Added a front door interior panel and made a console. Glued the windshield frame and door in the body (never got them to work right on the first one I built). Made a steering wheel and corrected the taillight panel as you did. Any progress on yours?

Alot of conversion work for semi accurate Coyote. Used the Mpc body and a Revell VW chassis and engine. Have a tread on it in the Under glass Model cars forum.

Let’s see your oldest surviving builds

Revell Fiat Altered from the double kit in 1963. Had to replace the wheels a couple of times due to melting plastic from the tight tires. Used thick thread painted blue for the wiring. -

USA-1 Monster truck
magicmustang replied to MurfTwice's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
My USA-1 Chevy Monster truck came with fender flares in the box. Granted they were for the Ford Monster truck but they should be able to be reworked to fit the Chevy. -
Anyone know how old this paint is

You are probably referring to the pivot arm attached to the steering link. This was the body support bracket. It was pretty dorkie. I left it off my build.

Here are a few of my builds that I did years ago. Have built them all, some are rebuilds of acquired glue bombs.

Since you seem very interested in this series, I thought I would share this ad from the 60's with you. Note the prices!

Yep, it can be done. I used a stock AMT '58 Edsel body on an AMT '67 Comet AWB chassis. The AWB '64 Olds is a resin cast body also on a Rat Packer chassis.
-
You are correct on the Unreal Edsel. Mr Speed has been rereleased but not as the Funny car, you will need the Piranha chassis and some mounting bars. C2 Vette is basically their stock '67 Vette with some drag parts that are also in their rerelease of their '63 Vette. Fairlane is a 1965 Falcon AWB funny car which uses the same interior and chassis as the current release of the Mustang GT Funny car but has a different set of rear torque arms. Streaker Olds AWB Funny car will probably be out next year. Instructions for most of these are available on the Fotki website. Hope this helps. PS: the pic is missing the Hemi Corvair kit which was rereleased lately. Pic below is of the chassis for the 1965 Falcon AWB from the Fotki website.

Jungle Jim Atlantis Kit
magicmustang replied to SCRWDRVR's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Agree. Avoid the Atlantis rerelease of the old Revell Camaro funny car. All can be built using current available kits and Slixx decals. -

Finished. See "A Certain T" Under Glass Model Cars section.
