  1. That looks great Charles, can't wait to see the next version of this truck you build, I think you mentioned either a brush truck or tow truck.
  2. Thank you for explaining the process again Dave and the challenges a model company faces when developing new kits. Looking forward to these new announcements and hope that you can bring them to market in fairly quick fashion!
  3. Very nice engineering there Charles, like it very much! If I were to build one I would probably not go to the lengths that you have but then again you have a way of making these look easy and very realistic!
  4. The Nova is nice to see and definitely an improvement over the Trumpeter kit from years ago, but I wouldn't expect to see it for a year. The pickup was already announced and while seeing that it will have multiple beds and possibly different drivetrains, I suspect it will be at least 9-12 months before we see it. There are some revisions needed to be done to each one and it's great that they showed us 3D prints, but there is a difference between test shots in styrene and a 3D print! I will probably grab one of each, but hope there are some other "new" kits on the horizon that generate more excitement for me than these two.
  5. Both of my kids were in a MC JROTC unit in high school, the only MC unit in the county, they learned a lot from their leaders and being the only Marine unit, other high school students were envious. They also spent time at Parris Island and Camp LeJeune, got a real taste of Marine life too! Happy Birthday USMC, 242 years young!
  6. New tooling is a good sign, depending on the subject it could be a hit. No matter what vehicle is kitted, there will be disappointed forum members who didn't get that 63 Zipper Wagon with wood panel trim like they hoped for!
  7. Hate to admit it but that looks great! Nice details and another example of how the snap kits can be made to look realistic!
  8. Nice job on combining the two kits and I like it better with the chrome trim.
  9. Actually Mark, The Modelhaus offered a resin version of the Shasta camper and I have one on order. I have seen this camper at HL and am thinking of picking one up and selling the resin one once it arrives. It would be nice to have some recreational vehicles in scale plastic kits, but not sure how well they have sold in the past.
  10. Actually, the way Revell does their snapper kits, I would welcome some nice new tools from them! My hope is that we will finally get a decent 67-72 GM truck kit someday, one that could be built several different ways-2wd/4wd, shortbed/longbed. With the recent 66 Suburban, how hard would it be for Revell to create a 67-72 version?
  11. Hopefully it will be something long wanted by this community, wonder what it will be ???
  12. I like that, nice colors and details, love the seat fabric inserts!
  13. Got one earlier this week on my cell phone claiming to be the IRS and it was the final notice before they were going to file a lawsuit! Listened to the end and waited for their "representative" to come on the line but alas all I got was a number to call. Haven't called it yet, waiting to pick up an air horn before I do so I can blast some idiot in a third world country with it as I am giving him my Visa card number! LOL!
  14. I have ordered from Danny many times and the only problem that I have had with him is that I never have enough money for all of the things in his line that I want! Great guy, great service, great product and I heard a rumor that he will have some more new stuff available real soon!
  15. I'd say that came out pretty darn well, nice job on the paint!
  16. Great details and very shiny paint, I would say you did well! It helps the motivation when you have the 1:1 close by as inspiration. Welcome back to the hobby and I am sure you will do just as well on your next build.
  17. I was hoping for some updates on this Charles and you have delivered! Nice work on this, impressive engineering on the tailgate. Looks like it is ready for winter, are you?
  18. A quick search of the forum here would lead to several topics on the building of this model Jeff. Check out the truck section and look thru the posts, I think there was one on how to get the engine to sit correctly.
  19. I knew a guy who was working on an improved cab and bed for this otherwise simple kit but haven't heard much from him in a while, not sure if he ever got it finished and ready for casting. It would be a marked improvement over the kit offering and with an engine swap from the Revell Jeep CJ-7 kit, a more realistic model could be built. Maybe with this kit coming out he will be motivated to finish up the cab and bed and get it ready for casting?
  20. My thoughts and sentiments too Bruce! This place just ain't the same without Harry.
  21. Molded in color, WHY??????
  22. nice collection, I am sure he didn't acquire all of those overnight
  23. Nice job Dan, as always you make it look easy and never disappoint with the lift and mudders! Are you going to add any extras to this one or leave it as is?
  24. Yes they did Mark! It was similar in size to the Suburban and was definitely built on a truck chassis like all of the IH light duty vehicles. There was someone working on a resin body of one, name escapes me but it was coming along nicely and he was thinking of also making a pickup version.
