  1. Impressive as always, much like the earlier trailers. Any idea of what you will use to pull it? I am sure it will depend on which driver you go with. Thanks for sharing your build, anxious to see this one done!
  2. As always, your builds impress me and love the subject!
  3. Very nicely done, a great tribute replica. Love the cleanliness yet simple paint scheme.
  4. Nice details and of course, extra shiny paint! Not bad for an old guy! LOL!
  5. That is sooooooooooo cool looking, the colors are spot on and the lowered stance and wheels make it.
  6. I sure hope your teaser line "Lots of features there, numerous variants" translates into drivetrain, body style and maybe even 2wd/4wd chassis options.
  7. Ed was the one who posted the beautiful pictures, many of sunsets. Sorry to hear of his passing, will miss his pictures, thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.
  8. I believe there is a resin 1/25 version of that van available. It was mastered by Tom Ellifrit, (Repstock here on the forum) and he did a great job on it. I had one of those van kits back in the 70's, I think it got thrown out when the basement flooded.
  9. If you are buying at MSRP, then you are correct. But with the 40% off, that kit is now $18 plus tax. I suspect the pricing HL is using MSRP because they know most shoppers will use the coupon or when they run them on special at the holidays.
  10. Good to hear that the Burban and Datsun pickup will be on the shelves, just have to time it right before they sell out!
  11. Here in Charlotte, it's looking like we dodged Irma as it's projected to go west towards Georgia. I saw a lot of Florida vehicles headed north out of Charlotte today, no doubt a sign of people heeding the message to evacuate. A business associate made a last minute decision to stay over in Charlotte this weekend and had a heck of a time finding a hotel room as many were filled with people who evacuated. I sure hope those that chose to stay behind or had to stay behind are safe and do not see damage like we saw two weeks ago in Texas.
  12. That is looking great Charles! Are they planning on offering an engine for it? I know you were working on casting one, maybe it will be an option?
  13. Any selling on the forum has to be done offline between parties either email or private message. Not sure what you have but it will get costly shipping internationally, eBay would be your best venue to sell.
  14. $29.99 less 40% is around $18.00. Add in taxes and it's pushing $19, depending on where you live, which is not a bad deal.
  15. It must only be on the Canadian version of Discovery as we aren't getting it here in the states Dan. I am sure we will see it, just not today!
  16. Stunning paint job, looks like it was dipped in the paint! Nice color choice and very clean build. I have a couple of these to build and I don't think they will be black, too many color choices!
  17. Great idea and really helpful if you are regularly buying, trading and selling kits. I think we are all probably guilty of buying a kit or two that we already have in the stash, mostly because we didn't have our list handy to check first! I have created excel spreadsheets several times before going to a show with a list of the models I took to sell and vowed to update the list as I sold them. That worked fine until I took my wife with me a couple of times and she was so happy to get rid of models that she didn't mark down what was sold. Yes, I was able to check them off but it would have been much easier if she had been keeping track at the shows! The biggest thing I found when I did my first inventory years ago was that I had TOO MANY models! I am probably down to around 100 now, had over 200 at the beginning of the year, and will trade or sell off some more as I become more focused on what I will really build versus hoarding a bunch of "some day I will build this....."
  18. This is just my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt..... The Modelhaus offered resin copies of parts for vehicles no longer in production (promo models from the 50's-70's) and original hand crafted resin bodies and trans kits. While the did "copy" someone else's work, it wasn't currently available items. The folks who purchase items from other resin casters who have taken the time to create a master or original item and then re-cast it themselves and try to pass it off as their own are the ones who come under fire. The issue here is that a poor copy of a quality item can have a negative effect on the original caster. Other than bringing it to the attention of the hobby via forums like this one, there isn't much the original caster can do. In the end, it will drive the quality people out of the casting business as they see their hard work and thin profits disappear when sales drop off.
  19. Not sure how long you are going to be there, but Hurricane Irma might be stopping in at the end of the week. Not much in the way of hobby shops, although there is a Hobby Lobby in the area, not to mention outlet stores!
  20. Just saw where Walter Becker of Steely Dan passed away at age 67. He had some undisclosed ailment and a cause of death was not mentioned, but was believed to be what prevented him from touring with Donald Fagen earlier this year. The band in heaven just got another great one, RIP Walter!
  21. One of my Mom's favorite quote! I know many people who fall into this category, some of them are relatives!
  22. Sounds like your life imitates the cartoon strip character Dilbert!
  23. Shoot the clear, make that color pop! Nice work so far!
