  1. I cant get the link to open, it just times out
  2. Saw a nice clean 69 vw camper on my way home from work. It was in the typical orange and white combo and pretty nice for a stock dub
  3. heres a few clubs, you'll need to search through them but what you're looking for should be there https://www.classiclandrover.com/ http://www.thelandroverclub.co.uk/
  4. that doesn't really make sense, weren't parents now brought up by parents years ago? lol
  5. Man thats cool, it reminds me of something from a goodguys show or sema
  6. Happy to help mate, and that set we were unsure about might be caddilac, I found a pic the other day that looked like them (late 60s)
  7. Very cool, not much beats a chopped 40 imo
  8. Nice work, the stance and wheels suit it well
  9. I'm sorry you're having problems with your neighbour, they can be very difficult situations to resolve. On this side of the pond they wouldn't be allowed to put drains in that exit on someone elses land (except possibly some farming) but thay can be allowed access to go throuh your land to connect to a drain but then they would be responsible for restoring your land. I'm guessing your not in hoa? You might be lucky and they sell the house when your neighbour passes. Would the county got involved if you maybe had a tempory drain dug so it runs out onto the sidewalk/roads so it becomes a safety issue?
  10. about mathmatical theories
  11. Thanks for that, if painting them doesn't go well its good to have a backup plan
  12. I've not built mine yet but I have studied the instructions and parts. For some of the body sections the interior parts seem to be part of the fitting points so I expect it would need to be done as per the instructions, but it may be different when actually building. I think I'll try one of the buses or vans first to see for sure though
  13. If you look on amazon for electric nail files there are dremmel style ones that take the smaller shaft size tools. I was finding my dremmel was melting the acrylic nail filler i sometimes use so for less than £20 I gave it a try. Its doesn't run very fast compared to the dremmel (I guess it wouldn't go down well if it burnt the user)but it does the job and came with a large bag of extra drum sander heads and a 6 metal shaping tools. Its worth having one if you do a lot of shaping and a worthwhile extra to have for when a dremmel is melting parts. I haven't tried a cutting disc in it yet but so far its done everything I needed it to do
  14. Stuart Semple is a pretty funny guy, he has an ongoing fued with another artist called Anish Kapoor (he made that massive kidney bean thing in one of the cities in the US) or something like that over the vanta black paint. It basicly boils down to if you have anything to do with Kapoor you cant buy any of Semples pigments. Theres a few threads and stories about it online if you want to find out more
  15. Another old build from 2015 this time. Its box stock other thn the drilled axle but I tried to gve it a 60s look with the paint. Again it was damaged when i dropped it and the roadster but I have all the parts to rebuild it someday
  16. I built this not long after i returned to the hobby in 2014. The paint is humbrol polished steel metaliser applied by brush. Its the revell kit and other than losing the fenders is box stock. Its due for a rebuild at some point after suffering some damage when I dropped it and my roadster. Iy has plenty of flaws the biggest of which is the upside down valve covers and oversized distributer
  17. I have the recent 76 sport kit which I'll be using for the build. I think I'll do a mix of those stripes and the 2 tone stepside in Vietnam Vet67's last post as between them I'm sure I can come up with something that looks almost stock but subtly custom. It shouldn't be too bad to do in paint either and would use up some of my cans that wouldn't do a full paint job
  18. I didn't know there was a version like that.
  19. yes, to a hollies concert
  20. Nicely done Phillip, i think this is the first time I've seen one of these done and looking good
  21. Lokk for a thread called createx, lots of good info on acrylics in it
  22. Thankyou sir, the black stepside has some nice stripes to take some inspiration from
  23. I agree with Espo about your front end mods. It sure makes the front end look clean without losing the flavour of the 57. Just my opinion but the stock front end of the 57s never really looked right to me but yours does and has probably changed my view of 57s
  24. Thankyou sir, some good info there.
