  2. Good news on both counts Steve. Congrats on the hardware. ???
  3. Sorry to hear that. I considered him a friend.
  4. This may help Roger.
  5. Looks good. I bet those pinstrip decals were a pain. I picked up one of these a couple years ago for a chassis and interior donor for an old '74 I had for decades. Wish I had picked up another one to build stock now.
  6. That was the old MPC kit. not the same.
  7. You might want to check out the engine in the current MPC "Deserter" Chevy pickup or an MPC/ MPC ElCamino Both have well detailed 2bbl Chevy small block engines with the cast iron exhaust manifolds that can easily pass for a 307 2bbl. The AMT Chevy van kits also have a similar engine with those exhaust manifolds but with a 4bbl intake.
  8. possibly
  9. Oh, OK. I was thinking it had a Vette rear suspension. Must have been thinking of something else.
  10. I don't know if you're aware of this or not but ,,, The AMT '39 Chevy "Wagonrod" has a full Art Morrison frame and suspension under it. The first issue even had a tiny "Art Morrison" decal. The AMT "Phantom Vicky" also has excellent independent suspension under both ends on a modern aftermarket style '32 frame.
  11. Here's a few shots of my '34. Fittingly, it was rebuilt from an old stock build. It was done about 15 years ago and still one of my favorits.
  12. Beautiful !!
  13. I use it all the time when tinting my windows and almost every car or pickup I've built over the last couple decades has tinted windows. Yes, you have to thin it for airbrushing as you would any other of their bottle paints. I just use cheap rubbing alcohol for mine but the proper thinner might give even better results.
  14. Super cool ,, love it !!!
  15. Like I said, Revell did not use the stock GM design for their pickups. It's an aftermarket design based on the "California Step-side" aftermarket beds sold in the '70s. They used them on all their Chevy pickups as well as their Chevy LUV , Ford Courier and Datsun pickups. They had two bed sizes but all used the same fenders. The "Fun Truckln" Courier was a real truck given away by Revell in '78 so I guess since they already had a "sort of" Chevy truck bed they just used it on all their other step-side pickup kits.
  16. Don't believe everything you see on a "reality show". ?
  17. It's exactly as impressive in person as in the pics Roger.
  18. I've seen the Goblin in person a couple times. I really don't think it's drivable, or at least not for any longer than to get it on and off a trailer. Cars are meant to be driven , if not, it's just a piece of sculpture. [to be kind]
  19. Excellent restoration. Looks super !!
  20. Gareth, does the can of Ford Champagne Gold have as much pink in it as it looks in the pic? If so, it's actually pretty close to GM Evening Orchid. And, on the grille subject. If you check the pics you posted, you'll see the actual grilles are black with the wide surrounds painted silver. I made the same mistake when I built the kit. But to my defense, I built mine over 30 years ago. Man, where do the years go ?? LOL ?

    Sweet !! ???
  22. Nice work. And welcome, we can always use another Steve. ?
  23. Simply beautiful. Great attention to details make this a real standout. ???
  24. Not the same Meteors, The American ones were a mid-size Mercury only built in '62 and '63,IIRC. The Canadian ones were full size cars. BUT the Canadian ones were not built in '62 and '63 while the name was being used on the American cars.
