  1. When they put it back to stock, they forgot to redo the creases around the wheel openings. Easy enough to fix if you really wanted to though.
  2. I used a Chevy manifold but I turned it backward so the runners would look closer to correct then I trimmed some off the back. After you get everything in there with an air cleaner and whatnot you can't really see much of the manifold anyway. BTW, the Little Red Express truck kit has a big block in it, not a small block like it should.
  3. Here's the engine in my '69 Beaumont convertible. Just used a parts box tunnel ram dual quad manifold with a scratch built injectors and fuel rails and air box on top.
  4. true, but all the people I mention use their actual everyday speaking voices, not affected "American" accents.
  5. John Roberts,, White House correspondent for Fox News and and was an anchor at CNN? Better known here in Canada in the '80s as J.D. Roberts, VJ at Muchmusic [Canada's version of MTV] and host of their heavy metal show,"The Power Hour".
  6. It's funny, with so many Canadian actors on TV and in movies, that so many people think we all talk with those stereotypical accents. You want to know how most Maritimers talk? Listen to Donald Southerland Shannon Tweed or Gordon Pincent Someone from Ontario? Kaenu Reeves , Dan Akroyd, John Candy, Jim Cary, From the Praries?,, Leslie Nielson, John Vernon, Tricia Hefler, Monty Hall, Natasha Henstridge from BC ? Michael J.Fox, Jason Priestley, Pam Anderson, Seth Rogen, Raymond Burr, and of corse Bill Shatner from Montreal, but maybe not a good example, Eh? Not an "oot or aboot" in the bunch unless they're making fun at themselves ,, which as Canadians, we tend to do.
  7. Looks cool Irv. I've always liked the look of that car. If I could find a copy of the front and rear custom parts I'd do one with the newer kit. Looks to me that the older kits got the lines of the rear 1/4s more correct than the new one though.
  8. Here's a few from north of the border for ya. Bo, '69 Camaro from "Lost Girl" Jake's '68 GTO from "Republic of Doyle" They had 2 for the show and they did not baby them Matt Shade's sweet early 911 from "Private Eyes" Vecchio's Riviera from "Due South"
  9. They're Cragar "GT Plus" wheels. Shelby used them on some GT 350s around '66. They also did a version with the steel rim and aluminum center as opposed to the all aluminum in this old ad. They started selling them again as the "500" IIRC. The version available currently
  10. I'm kinda late to the party on this one but,, My vote would have been the saddle bronze. One of my uncles had a '67 Cutless in about that color and it had an aqua interior. Never repainted, it came from the factory in that color scheme.
  11. I started this one about 14 years ago, never got past this point for some reason.
  12. Not sure they could reissue it, I think the chassis and some other parts are under the last version of the '72 longbox. , , BUT if they did reissue it I'd hope they'd correct those rear fenders, BTW, the blue custom "Rolling Thunder" uses the same bed but they added that funky sleeper over it.
  13. Like Mike says, those were real wheels. Not 100% accurate but real Motor Wheel Spiders. If you wanted a new set, there's some in the current AMT/MPC '79 TransAm. Yea, it takes a lot of bodywork sometimes to bring those old trucks back to life. Here's a before and ,,during, I guess pic of the '68 I've been working on for a while now. Great work so far, love watching a restoration.
  14. They look like the ones in the AMT '58 Impala but I don't remember it being issued in that color.
  15. Yea, I missed out on a lot of thier stuff I'd like to have, kust getting to the point financially that I could have bought a kit every now'n then. I wouldn't get too bummed out about the Riv though Scott. As the former owner of a 1/1 '72 Riviera, I can say that no one has ever really done the car justice in resin. I've seen them all and bought a couple and none of them have captured the roof to rear 1/4 area and the roof-rear window-trunk lid transition at all well.
  16. I wouldn't want to be considered a "Master". People expect too much from you and dismiss you when you don't live up to their expectations.
  17. Me? ,, I'm just a mildly talented novice.
  18. I mostly built one years ago but never finished it. I thought it was a nice kit with good detail but I think you may be right about the tires and wheels. It has small Pirelli tires I used a set under one of my VW Rabbits. LOL Anyway, here's a link to the Drastic Plastics club instruction sheet page for that kit. [the kit with the red car is very similar] http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/monogram-instructions/foreign--exotic/monogram-lamborghin/
  19. ,,, But the '64 Galaxie annuals did have Tera-Thrusts too.
  20. Read? why on earth would assume I can read? Funny thing, I went to take a pic of the wheels I have to show how much shallower they are than the ones in the pic and guess what?? they were the same. You are absolutely right Bill. But you just had to go and quote that post ,, now I can't go delete it and get rid of the evidence of how big a twit I am.
  21. Unless some changes were made along the line, the wheels in the original pic were not in the T kit. The ones in the T were much shallower. Those are from one of the mid-60s annuals. Not sur which one, maybe the '64 Galaxie ,, I'll have to check after dinner.
  22. George, I recently brought back a '65 roadster that was worse than that one. At least that body isn't cut up. Should be a cake walk for you.
  23. Just shot some color.
  24. Just turned 2017 in my time zone.
