  1. My biggest fear was kneeling over in front of all those little kids! Especially our granddaughter who was just 4 feet in front of us! The doctor was one that was covering for my cardiologist this weekend. I see my regular guy on Friday and believe me he will get an ear full! He is the best in town and always reissues me that I'm not in danger of dropping dead anytime soon from my heart! As someone said I do have acid reflux. It already progressed into Barretts Esophogus and sometimes the chest pain gets so intense it plays with your head.
  2. Friday morning went to Granparent's day at our youngest granddaughters preschool. On the way there had an event of chest pain that quickly subsided but left hy heart rate higher than normal. Figured would get through the hour long event then hit the doctor's office on the way home but after easing off during their little show they were putting on my heart rate took off for the sky and chest pain returned. I held out until they were done with their program and they got the kids out to the classroom and my son's moth-in-law called 911. So a 19 minute ambulance ride and admission to the hospital outpatient observation unit for the night. All the other issues went away other than my heart rate occasionally jumping up and even that went down to normal, well below normal as when I sleep I will drop into the 40's. with the top BP number in the 90's. Couldn't have anything after midnight because of having a stress test on Sat which didn't happen until 11:30. Then when the girl had me prepped she couldn't get a call back from the doctor that was supposed to be in attendance. Finally she got hold of someone in the department who informed her that the doctor had decided to scrub in on another doctors procedure. They wound up with a nurse and a "Fellow" that came in to administer the contrast and watch that they didn't kill me on the treadmill! Later they called the doctor for the results so they could determine if I could go home or needed more tests and he insisted that I had not had the test yet because he was not there to do it. After finally getting him to check he found the results HAD been sent to him and he said there was nothing abnormal in them and released me at around 4:00 yesterday. I have a followup with my cardiologist on Friday which was an already scheduled appointment. I still want to know why every 12-18 months I wind up in the hospital for this same issue that they can never find anything wrong!!!
  3. Art is the man! You really nailed it! This could have been something that would have been built back then if one looks back at some of the wild looking body designs that were run!
  4. The looks to be the chassis from the Rebel Machine from Johan!
  5. It is what they came with on day one, so why not! Those old cars tend to handle like you know what on radials.
  6. For the first time in a couple decades FREID PORK CHOPS!!! Mashed taters with gravy made from the pork chop leavings, and brussel sprouts in butter sauce!
  7. That was about the size of my room back then!
  8. I like it! I have one I built a looooong time ago in the closet somewhere.
  9. Nice save! I have had good luck removing old decals using scotch tape as long as they were not clear coated!
  10. Beautiful!
  11. Great build of one of the best looking Monte stock cars! Sure do miss Ernie! (and a lot of others)
  12. I know this is a really old thread but found it again after a long time of being away and even seeing I had posted when I was here back then. Had this kit in my stash that I had got for Christmas in 2014. Googled the car and found this old thread and now I know how I will build it! I didn't remember this thread and didn't realize the Buck Baker decals were in the kit! That is the car I will build! Thanks Len and Bill for this thread!
  13. Great color for that car! Beautifully done!
  14. Cool! I remember watching that show!
  15. Looks great! Follows a trend I have seen the last few years of guys rescuing old farm trucks and service vehicles and updating the drive train and interior but leaving that rustic look on the body! Then a few that have actually nailed down replicating that look too!
  16. WOW!!! What a tow rig!!! Very impressive build!
  17. FLASHBACK!!! I can hear Sammy Johns "Chevy Van" playing on the 8 track as it cruises the square.
  18. This really takes me back in time to a more simple and good time in America! Buitiful build!
  19. This morning I heard a neighbor telling another neighbor across the street that he put his whole paycheck into tickets for this drawing!!! People are crazy!
  20. Now that is just way too cool! Thanks for sharing this one!
  21. Wish someone would kit a new 67 or 68 Cougar kit! Two beautiful Fords!
  22. That is just a cool looking rod! Great save! I think a person gets more enjoyment out of a build like this that they do out of a new kit!
  23. That is one sweet looking hotrod!
  24. Great weathering! Looks like it sat out behind the barn for a long while!
  25. I actually saw one back in the 70's. It was at a spring shop th a catered to trucks and was there because one of their overload springs had failed on the rear. The camper overhang was longer than that in the kit and there were dolly wheels on the rear that were sprung and stayed in contact with the road surface.
