  1. I see a whole lot of imagination and hard work in these builds!
  2. That is a real slick looking Corvette! Great job!
  3. That looks fantastic! I hope they bring this one back!
  4. That was why I went ahead and used Bare Metal Foil over it.
  5. My kid had this Polar Lights prepaint car gave to him and he didn't like it. I decided that I liked the red but it was TOO red so added the black top. tires from the parts box and a little detail painting including two tone red interior. Came out pretty nice!

    69 GTO

Saved from the trash. Was brush painted horribly and half finished in a trash can on my brother-in-laws deck where his kid left it! Stripped repainted and with a lot of parts from the parts box it came out nice.
  7. Just built it how I remembered them locally!
  8. I think he may be a real zombi!
  9. It brings one back to the reality that we are also getting old and the days and years grow shorter and shorter!
  10. He will be in a individual unit in a place where they handle geriatric inmates with health issues according to the state. My guess would be if not out on appeal the state will send him home under home confinement so that they will not have to pick up his medical care costs! See that happening all across the country as of late!
  11. I don't think so. He will not even be there the three years whether out awaiting appeal (let out by higher court) or his conviction overturned by a higher court because of some of what was done pretrial and during the trial. May even see a compassionate release because of his health regardless of what the judge had to say. One of the jury members stated that he was not found guilty by evidence but by what was in the media.
  12. It is good to have one as long as it too is moderated just enough to keep things from blowing up and spreading across the whole sight which I have seen on other forums over the years! Not having a section like this would result in just that as has been proven on other sites that dropped the section. Yes some make it invisible except to those that want to indulge but that causes some issues as new members who do not know about it will sometimes get themselves into trouble. Just leave it open and those that want to participate will and the rest will just ignore it like some do other sections that does not interest them!
  13. Leftover homemade goulash and buttered bread! Tastes even better second time around!
  14. Have all his LP albums! He was a very funny man. I have reservations about this whole thing especially with Gloria involved in it. We will never know the whole truth of this and that is sad. It was all from an era where drugs flowed like water and women were doing what ever it took to climb that ladder to success most failing to even get past the first rung and I would guess saw an opportunity to try and get something out of their failures.(civil suits) I'll just listen to his old funny recordings and remember the good old days!
  15. Man! All this is giving me the itch to get a train again! I asked the wife if we could get rid of the furniture so I could put in a good display and she told me if I want a divorce I can!

    Woody

I have seen this picture many times over the years except with different cars, in 1:1 ! Body work done now waiting for the engine to come from the rebuilder and waiting for the date with the upholstery shop!
  17. Nice Willys build!
  18. Sweet looking Chevelle and my favorite year too!!!
  19. Sweet looking Firebird!
  20. I sold all I had in the late 80's except my old Marx set from the 50's that is now my youngest grandsons, after I realized that none of my boys had any interest in model railroading. Besides I had moved it one too many times already and the last big move to a smaller place meant reducing the size of just getting out and I chose the latter. I was into HO scale and had cars and houses and the normal things but I would have never put anyone else down because they did something out of the ordinary and only a few of the model railroaders I knew would have been that anal about it. I do remember being called up to a meet with the head of the club I belonged to the night before a show over the display one guy had set up. He was the last to finish that night and when the club vice president walked through to make sure everything was secure for the night (didn't want to burn down the school gym!LOL) he saw the guys layout and thought it inappropriate! At 10:30 that night they called and told him to either change his display or pack it up. He had a scene with a stopped Amtrak and a police car and ambulance it depicted a hobo (I guess it was) that had been struck by the train and was partially dismembered. I will say his entire setup was quite impressive but also agreed that the particular scene wasn't appropriate for an event that would have a lot of young kids attending! He chose to pack up and go home. There are always going to be disgruntled people no matter what it is that is being shown even in 1:1 car shows this kind of argument goes on but so goes life!
  21. Add a flat or low tire and you have it nailed!
  22. Home made chicken potpie and carrot cake with cream cheese frosting!
  23. One of the classiest Poncho's built and you did an excellent job on it! My grandpa's brother-in-law had a 61 Pontiac when I was a kid! When he retired it next to his garage a couple years before he died (in 1968) because the doctor no longer would let him drive. I tried everything in the book to convince him to sell it to me! No dice, it was the first and only car he ever bought new and would not let it go. It was still there when grandpa's sister (his wife) passed away in 1989 and was left there when the kids sold the farm.
  24. That is a work of art! Love the interior detail especially the barefoot accelerator pedal! (had one of those back in the day that moved car to car!)

    240 Z

Looks really good! I always like the body style of this car and even bought a 1:1 (thought is was a steal) only to find it was almost rusted in half at the cowl area of the sub-frame.
