1972 Ford F100 "Iron Man"
stavanzer replied to Chuck Most's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Great Save, Chuck. As usual the backstory nicely completes the model. Good Show. -
Here is the review of the Pink car from HPI Guy, back when it was new. (7 years ago) I think the Pink one has better decals.

I missed this when you first posted. Outstanding Work! Good Show.

Shorty #1 Hobby Knife Handle and Matching Mini Saw Blades
stavanzer replied to Joe Handley's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I have a couple of those saw blades, I think. I have not opened that particular X-Acto toolbox in 8-10 years. -
That Looks very sharp, Mike! The choice of Colours is perfect for that car. Good Show.

Those are Trucks! Heavy, a bit Clumsy, with "Armstrong" powered controls, these were the real Workhorse vehicles of the day. At one time they were everywhere. I still remember seeing a few of them skulking around local farms and oilfields in the late 1970's. Worn, with tired paint, cracked glass and smoking some, they still pulled their weight. You really brought back some memories, here! Fantastic builds of some easily overlooked trucks. Good Show.

Lonestar - Hot Rod custom
stavanzer replied to LOBBS's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
That's what I'd do. Save the Money and Effort for the Outside Changes where you'll get more Bang for the Buck. Congratulations on the Start! -
Some of these ex-Monogram kits are at Hobby Lobby, in Revell boxes too. If the Kit is listed as 1/24 scale, it is probably an old Monogram kit. Old Lindberg kits can be fun to build, but older Lindberg Instruction sheets can be a bear to read sometimes. Ask hear about any kit you are interested in, and we'll be happy to share our thought about it. Glad to see you building again. Have Fun.

Wonderful in so many ways! A tribute to your brother. A lifetime long project completed at last. And an example of how things looked 60 years ago. Good Show.

At least One Place shows it in stock. https://www.modelroundup.com/1966-Shelby-Mustang-350GT-p/amt-r2-1491.htm

And here is a video review.

It out now.
-
I love it! Clean, sharp building style, excellent paint! Good Show.

Yes, indeed! And since the wagon is a Push Car, you could just use the Chevelle AWB kit, and have the matching pair. You don't need a trailer.

Marriage! Some days it's great. Some days it isn't. This is one of the bad ones. Worse, because I let my mouth off the leash, and said hurtful things. The House is Tense & Silent. Models just mock me today......
-
I'm curious why the '65 Chevelle wagon was never part of a Drag Team set? Especially since "Drag Team Push Car" is one of the 3 build options.......

Awesome Detail Work. Very Clean building style! Good Show.
-
Oooh! Now that is a fabulous build. The Detail is Superb! Good Show.

Moebius 1946/7/8 Chevy Announcements
stavanzer replied to Erik Solie's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Thanks for sharing. As usual, Moebius Decals are "Sparse"..... I wish they would put more effort into their decals. -

Just a few AMT kits coming this year !!
stavanzer replied to Mr mopar's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
They'll get two kits out of this line up, for me. The BRE Datsun Truck and the Red Merc Cougar. But, not much else, so far. There will be more announcements, I am sure.
