  1. Looks great to me! I like the yellow wheels.
  2. A great Build, and far out creative idea on the Electric Motor. Three Thumbs Up! ('cause two thumbs just aren't enough)
  3. So, How is it coming? I'm really curious about the 4 port Riley head.
  4. Ah,, Thanks! I plan on using it on my Peking to Paris build on my '34 Ford Coupe. I just wasn't sure what it was.
  5. Amen, Bill! That is one I'd really get behind!
  6. A neat story. Thanks for sharing. I've heard of Bultaco, but never an Ossa. I grew up in Central California, and the Bultaco's were always the Legendary "Best Bike Evah"! Was the Ossa an East Coast thing?
  7. I'm trying to figure out what kind of two-speed rear axle is in the Revell '40 Ford Standard Coupe Kit. A variant of the Ruxtell?
  8. The two cars in one kit box shown in Mike Smith's photo has nothing but plastic parts. All the P/E and White metal parts are either left out, or replaced by decals or plastic.
  9. I've seen the stock Wheels/Tires from the AMT '37 Chevy used too. Might be worth a look. The Stock 6 Cyl I-6 from the Monogram (not Revell) 1953 Chevy can be used in the '39 also. The AMT '37 has a nice 6 too, but it might be small in the '39 engine bay. I've not tried it myself.
  10. Hmmm '78, not '73? Rather have the Camper Shell or Service Truck goodies, but I'll take what I can get.
  11. So could anybody get close enough to the GMC to see if the box calls out the Turbine? Brat!! Wow, a home run there!
  12. I just checked you tube, hoping for an un-boxing video of the '34 P/U. Still no luck! I hope Chris is planning on getting one!
  13. I'm in for the Land Rover Fire Truck.
  14. Good Job! We need more saves like this.
  15. Very Nice! A Yellow Rod always looks cool.
  16. Alternomad! My First Choice it would be.
  17. Beauty, Eh!
  18. You will love that kit! Two great markings options in the box. It is a peach of a kit detail-wise as well. Modern and nicely tooled.
  19. Awesome! I look forward to seeing them built. Do you have the" Modern Airshow" version of the 1/48 Revell Stearman Bipe?
  20. Very Nice! Get a Minicraft 1/48 Cessna 172, and you have the flight line at a modern Airshow.
  21. What I miss most from the Mag are Larry Greenberg's Kit reviews. He is one of the most knowledgeable reviewers out there IMHO, and a great historian of the hobby. I wish Gregg could get those reviews online. I'd gladly pay for those. I know that Larry used to have a website with some reviews, but it is long gone.
  22. Welcome back. I'd choose a kit, but before buying it, ask the helpful members here for any opinions on how easy it will be to build. We can give you feedback and tips on any kit you chose. Remember that many of the AMT or MPC kits you grew up with are out there in fresh Round2 boxes at HobbyLobby or the LHS. They have nifty pad-printed white walls & great new decals, but it is the same well loved plastic in the box. And Round2 kits now feature a parts layout drawing on the bottom of the box, showing everything you get in the kit. Good Luck! and Happy Modeling! Alan
  23. Amen, Bill! A "Big Thank You" to Gregg is well deserved. This is indeed a great website.
  24. This magazine also had a build of one many years ago. The Awesome Bill Borgen built it, and it had the usual superb story to back up the build.
  25. So who's gonna put those "Mr. Tuff" decals on a sheet? Maybe Slixx will put them on one of their Mini Sheets.
