  1. Dang! You sure know how to build 'em, Uelder! That is one sharp ride. Great job on the stripes.
  2. I hope HPI Guy gets one. His review will be the decision maker on whether I buy one or not.
  3. Sounds like a great Idea to me.
  4. I still have a set of brand new Model T plugs in the box, in my garage. Bought them new in 1988. The have pipe thread, threads on them. The whole car is just anvil simple to wrench on. I miss mine to this day. It was a 1926 Speedster, with a Rootlieb body. It had red wire wheels and no fenders. It was my daily driver from 1988 to 1990.
  5. Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!
  6. What a Magnificent project! All emotion and no real practical use. I'm glad Bentley is doing this. A "Halo Car" for the Ultra-rich. And It will increase the chances of seeing a real Blower Bentley in the flesh, so to speak. Ettore Bugatti is supposed to have dismissed them as "Thinly Disguised Trucks"
  7. Looks better and better with each update, Mike.
  8. Coke themed Space 1999 Eagle is the kit I'm holding out for. Or Coke Tanker.
  9. AFAIK, one issue of the Revell 69, a snapper molded in yellow or red, IIRC had the SS Hood you seek. It is a rare kit, and since it is a snapper, not well regarded. Larry Greenberg did a review of the kit in this magazine when it first cane out. The hood was separate, so a relatively easy swap to the glue kit.
  10. It is INDEED a very pretty box. I feel sorry for the guys who buy it, and discover that the kit is only So-So. The more Thought I've given it, the more I'm coming to disagree with Round2's policy of releasing sub-optimal kits. This kit and the '67 GTO coming quickest to mind. Better to let these tools die in the vaults, rather than keep them coming and turning off more generations of customers.
  11. Good Show. Your colour choice is inspired on that Rig.
  12. So, are there anymore pics of this kit out, or are we just waiting for somebody to be the first to order one?
  13. That would look great setting next to a 1/48 F-86 Sabre or F-89 Scorpion. The USAF used these to Fuel airplanes back in the day. Hardest part would be finding USAF Strata Blue paint. You could stretch the timeline even to early Vietnam Era builds. The USAF would keep their ground equipment a very long time. In 1985 we had a Clark Tow Tug that had been built in 1964.
  14. And those Fenders are hard to find. Used in only the first two issues of the Roadster. I've paid far more than I'll admit, just to get a set of those fenders.
  15. The Roof Rack is supposed to be newly tooled. And I like Green Glass.
  16. Thanks, Snake. Have to see how I feel when I see it on the shelf at H/L then.
  17. That is an old Pyro kit. It was motorized 50 years ago. That accounts for some of the odd shapes and sizes. It was more toy than scale model. Beautiful Build.
  18. I have the MPC Convertible. I don't think it is a BAD kit, as it is indeed sort of Camaro shaped. But the Engine and Wheels in mine are blobs, and the MPC 1980's Chrome is way, way too thick, so that the wheels and other parts are soft, shiny shapes. This new one, might be better in some ways, but the Body has been dumped on by folks who know a whole bunch more about Camaros than I do. If it has stock, custom tires & Slicks, (Total 10 tires), I'll buy a set of ten tires, and a new decal sheet, and get a free box of extra, possibly Camaro shaped parts. If there are only 4 or 6 tires, I have enough parts kits already........
  19. I think so. Be nice to have that kit back.
  20. Part 71 looks too big for a battry. Notice the Engine Lowers insert and the fact that the Engine is still the same simplified tool from before. The Heads and Intake are a one piece casting. Looks like you need the Round2 '64 if you want a good engine. Only 4 tires, as well. But, the decals look good.
  21. I'm glad to see the revised kit coming now from Round2. I'll br waiting to see how the Taillight, Firewall, Radiator, and other parts are done. Iy would be nice to see the 409 F.I Manifold back as well.
  22. Yes, Please? This is how trouble starts. Baseless Rumors that soon become "Facts".
  23. Boy, I wish Revell would tool up a Long Bed 3/4 Ton version of their F-1. I'd be in for more than a couple.
  24. Thanks for the Chart, F-J.
  25. Chris has built it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrztFuCAl78
