  1. Not really an irk, but... We have a 2016 Kia Soul. This is a car that was my dad's, and mum officially passed it down to us for my daughter. She's 16 and learning to drive. Anyway, while I'm refurbishing wifey's Volvo, she's been using the Soul. While I'm in England, day two, I get a text. "The Soul is making a weird noise from the back every time I brake." Ugh. So yesterday we did the brakes. Front and rear rotors, and new pads all around. Rears were metal on metal. Spending money like an adult sucks. ?
  2. This is the frustrating part. There is no rhyme nor reason to what bugs are affecting people. I have issues that Xingu isn't having at all. And I've tried both Chrome and Edge with no success. Anyway, board updates are coming, and these issues are just temporary.
  3. Yup. I'll be picking up one of these.
  4. Whatever issues you had, you definitely overcame them! That looks fantastic.
  5. The abstract minimalism...the use of negative space...the bold absence of colour...does it get any better than this? Seriously though, there is so much terrific artwork out there. I wish modern kits would try a little harder. I appreciate the new AMT Bronco. It's a fantastic kit. But could they not have had some proper artwork done, instead of just a stock colour photo? Look at Revell. They're doing it right with their new releases. Zippi posted some good examples when he started this thread. Some beautiful artwork there. Seriously, they should market these and release them as posters or puzzles. I think they'd sell really well. But then...AMT has a history of questionable box art choices. Sure gets me excited. For art though, it's really hard to beat the military kits.
  6. Nope, I want a basic crappy old farm truck! None of that fancy stuff. Would be happy with this.
  7. The green "Joseph Dovey" steam truck pictured was driving around Burley for most of the week. Was pretty neat to see it on public roads and being driven. Not exactly fast, but still. I'm not sure I'll go back to the 70s or later for an LR, but will see. I'm leaning towards a diesel engine example from the late 80s/early 90s. Kind of like that last pic, but the wagon version. I've been in touch with a couple of people I met over there, so will see. I actually managed to attend a Land Rover Spares show. Basically a huge swap meet for LR parts. Got my brain working overtime.
  8. Was just ion the UK for three weeks, and managed to catch a few car shows while there. One of the places we stayed was a little village in The New Forest called Burley. Hotbed of witchcraft and witch activity. But I digress. Our first day there we happened to stumble across the annual vintage steam and vehicle show. It was a gloomy day, but no rain. Was cool attending a carshow and seeing completely different cars than what I'm used to. And as usual, some awesome stuff in the parking lot too. I freaking loved this car. So much want. I love, love, LOVE Land Rovers. Seriously looking into importing one. This one was for sale too. Towing with a Triumph! This Capri was dead mint.
  9. Oh man, so many concerts over the years. But some standouts for me... Rammstein - Edmonton, 2011 Roger Waters - Edmonton, 2012 Metallica - Damaged Justice tour, Edmonton, 1989 Faith No More - Vancouver, 2015 Muse - Edmonton, 2013 The Cult - private event at the Union Hall, Edmonton, 2018 Depeche Mode - Edmonton, 2017 Have a few concerts coming up to. Tool next week. Depeche Mode in November Inflames and Meshuggah in November Ministry and Front Line Assembly in March.
  10. Sad news to be sure. That show was a big part of my childhood tv watching, even though I didn't quite understand the nuances of the storylines or the humour. Was such an awesome show. Still makes me laugh when I happen to see it. The original three had great chemistry. For fans of the show, head over to Spotify and check out the Regal Beagle podcast. It's a Three's Company analysis by Canadian musician Danko Jones, who is a massive TC fan. It's pretty great.
  11. Wow. I see a few of these I want. The Stranger Things kits in particular.
  12. Amazing as usual!
  13. Love the green! We haven't done too many in this colour. And that's probably a good choice for now, as the Ranger/Bronco plant is now on strike, so the 2024s are delayed until who knows when.
  14. Whether Fujimi got it right or not, I think you're doing an excellent job. The paint looks just about perfect and the trim looks perfect too. ?
  15. Faster soul master! Yes, it was this day in 1988 that James had an issue with the law.
  16. Got an ad on Instagram yesterday. Could be the biggest pile of nonsense I've seen advertised there yet. Electromagnetic Molecular Antifreeze Snow Removal Instrument SO I stick this thing on my dash, all solar, no batteries or cords, and it will detect snow and cold temps and will melt all of the snow and ice off my vehicle and warm thing sup inside. Apparently it will start activating water molecules enough to melt them completely, but will not affect the water in living things. And apparently it's all NASA tech, just like they use on the Mars Rovers. All for under $30 CDN. Good grief.
  17. If you can wait a few weeks until I'm back from vacation, I have a bunch of files for 3D printing some garage tools and equipment. Would be happy to scale them up to 1/16 for you. Shoot me a PM if you wish, I'm back around the 16th.
  18. But he's asking about the turn signal lever. It is comically large in the kit.
  19. Is that the Revell kit? I like your colour choices.
