  1. Has anyone had any actual experience with RMR yet?
  2. Interesting fleet. Love the multiple colors. Anybody know where these were from (what city/town)?
  3. Very nice, Curt!
  4. Excellent! Love those Can Am cars! Great series populated with great cars.
  5. Very nice.
  6. Swweeeet! Love it.
  7. That is outstanding in its field! [Yikes, did I do that?] Seriously . . . outstanding.
  8. Most excellent, Misha! Good luck at Deuce Days.
  9. Sweet.
  10. Way cool, Glen!
  11. Looking forward to White Castle being in town, although they will have to be beyond sublime to outdo our long-established local Chicago-style slider emporium, the Windy City Hamburger Company. It is unsurpassed! We’re also blessed with Portillo’s, Giardano’s, and Lou Malnati’s. No need to travel into the snow- and cold-belt.
  12. Looking great, Brad!!!
  13. Fantastic!!
  14. The rear looks more Camaro than Vette. Regardless, the car is awesome. Recent magazine reports suggest the current entry-level small block will be the basic power plant at a price point very similar to today’s C7. Upgrades in power plants, hp, induction systems and other premiums will push the price point well above the C7’s range. can’t wait!!!!!
  15. Sweet.
  16. Welcome back, Spk!!
  17. Wow! As a race official at Pikes Peak back in the day, I knew Bobby Unser (and the entire Unser clan) for years. I also had the privilege of meeting and interacting with the Audi drivers for several years - John Buffum, Walter Rohrl (not only an outstanding world champion, but also an exceptional gentleman!) and later Michelle Mouton and Fabrizia Pons. Mouton was an incredible driver but didn't waste much time with people skills. Pons, on the other hand, was as gracious and friendly as she was beautiful. My young (grade school age) sons had crushes on the Mouton/Pons team - and had arms full of autographed posters, cards, and personal notes. In another year, Rohrl trumped them by giving my boys each a 1/6 scale replica of his racing helmet, complete with Walter's autograph personalized to each of them. Needless to say, my guys loved the Audi racers!! And, the Audi teams set the hillclimb world on fire! So many stories, so little time. I have a stash of Quattro kits and am eagerly awaiting the Bobby Unser decal set - (first time the Pikes Peak logo has appeared in decal form!!). I need to build one of each of my old friends.
  18. Donald, Welcome to the MCM Forum! And, welcome to AZ. In addition to IPMS Craig Hewitt Chapter (the largest IPMS chapter in the USA), there are two clubs in the Phoenix Metro Area dedicated to car modeling: Cactus Car Modelers Club (Cactuscarmodelers.com) and Moonlight Modelers Club (Moonlightmodelers.com). A group of car modelers get together from time to time for 'build sessions' where we just sit down informally and work on our projects together. Sometimes referred to as a 'build-n-bull' session, as there's a lot of visiting and idea-sharing and general BSing as well as model building. Next one is tomorrow (Saturday 29th) at 11:00 a.m. in the activity room at Hobby Depot (hobby shop), 216 West Southern Avenue, Tempe, AZ 85282. You're welcome to check it out. As you probably already know, IPMS-CHC hosts and promotes an annual contest and swap meet (for to all modeling disciplines) in November every year. PLUS! The largest and longest-running model car championship in Arizona (and the immediate Southwest) - DESERT SCALE CLASSIC - happens every April. Go to desertscaleclassic.com. And, twice each year there's a model car and pedal car show and competition at the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association shows in Scottsdale. Spring Nationals is in March each year and Southwest Nationals is in November (the weekend before Thanksgiving) each year. In other words, in the Phoenix Metro Area there's plenty to do and plenty to get involved in . . . to whatever level you desire . . . Danno
