  1. Thanks dude! ? Thank you. For the top, and upcoming windshield, scissors cut fine. For kit windows, I scribe, and/or saw, but been using the hot-wire more because it's so much faster and no chance of breaking. Board will go inside, one back seat down and will make a bungee cord. Started the paper interior panels last night. Is everyone loving the ad pollution? ?
  2. I have this in my stash, with the detail parts. Look forward to watching your build. Already impressed with the arbor for the brake disks, and carbon-fiber work.
  3. Chicago does everything big..... wife grew up there, so of course I had to go see where, before her dad sold the house to escape. I was super annoyed to never know which way was north, usually have a great sense of direction. /end rant/
  4. I think had that one too, but I also had one with a neekid woman on the aluminum hood, black with gold wheels. Now that I think of it, should search Shapeways site for the figure..... ? Looking good Dann!
  5. ? That was fun to make. What do you use for clear? The spoon is glass smooth, this is always the achilles heel of my builds.
  6. I got one of these on trade, but not the GTi version. Looking good so far!
  7. Upper interior painted, and inside the doors. I know the side door speaker boxes will need to be touched up, but will have to keep those doors open to spray. I cut masks for the windows, something new kits usually supply. I'm still amazed that I spent so much time doing the interior around the windows and jambs, this kit is very basic, the instructions show where to cut the side doors and back door to open, with a note saying there are no parts.
  8. For once, I built a kit before you. ? Built this before I knew they would become rare. Made a few modifications.
  9. Came out really nice, love the subject, have one in the stash.
  10. Woodworking is another hobby of mine, so satisfying to knock something like this out. Just need to add a fin.
  11. I had the Corgi of this car, like all of them got wrecked or disappeared. What a fun subject, never knew there was a model of this. Pulling up a chair......
  12. retention basins, without
  13. That certainly is a challenge! All your projects are looking good. ?
  14. Polished the paint, and rough shaped the plan profile on the wood thing (really need to replace the sanding disk!). Found this cool craft paper at Michaels, for the interior panels.
  15. I can't imagine running a site like this, how much is a surprise? We need something different to whine about. ?
  16. Dang that looks really nice. You guys who can build perfectly clean models make me sick (in a really good way, I'm just jealous ?).
  17. Looking great man! Detail Master makes photo-etch speaker grills, you know. ?
  18. Don't know if I should show this to Dann, he might consider it a challenge. ? When I owned a MINI (the new big and fat ones), attended a couple of Mini Meets. This one had a VTEC transplant, kicked butt on the autocross. Yes, very fun cars.
  19. Since I don't like round tires contacting the Earth, I have the magic solution.
