  1. Because the topic of keeping kits sealed came up as a new thread, I opened this, and found out the tires melted the back window. This may be the last Revell and/or Monogram kit I will buy, ridiculous the windows aren't bagged.
  2. I've wondered about this topic. I used to not care about the value, and opened every kit. Recently have been buying what I could not afford, or simply missed out on, some are sealed. I asked about the Aerovette on a new topic a few months ago, it *was* sealed until a minute ago. I see the back window has the freaking tire burn! So that's it, not buying any more sealed Revell and/or Monogram kits anymore, that's BS the windows are not protected from the tires!!!!
  3. Looks like a fun project, don't let us down!
  4. I started the transkit for the Paris Dakar, but life has put it on hold.
  5. Even though Maserati had a Biturbo, it's still what we Americans call Badass. Love the concept, and you finished it, which is important! I have 3 different Fujimi Countachs in the box.
  6. I built that last century! It was before the other kits came out, so I was stoked. I also did the race version. I converted one to use an Estes AA rocket motor, took off across the parking lot really well, but then it sort of crashed, and survived. I have the full detailed Fujimi kit, maybe next century I'll build it. But you finished this, the color stands out!
  7. Dang.... that's a well deserved win! The brake lines, fine solder? The headliner is a head turner, with the dome light.
  8. I know this is an old kit, a search did not find any threads, so here goes..... Has anyone built the Tamiya Ferrari F40, using aftermarket carbon-fiber decals? The real car pioneered c-f, some is yellow weave, some is not as black as most decals available. I built the Fujimi last century, tried painting the seat backs.
  9. I've had issues too. One sheet of the flat aluminum had no adhesive to speak of. I used the original version on a pickup cover, on diamond plate, it has wrinkled up over time, need to redo. Not convinced with Molotov pens, you need to do it right the first time, never touch up.
  10. Incredible work! I live in Arizona, what's all the brown stuff?
  11. It was ok. Plot was a little unpredictable, which kept me awake. Some of the trash can droids looked familiar, like they reused them from previous movies.
  12. One of my favs. Must be the rate of inflation.
  13. I'm a rally fan, so of course I love this! Fun thing about such a subject, you don't have to duplicate the real thing (like my 959 Paris Dakar). Sure looking good! Cheers.
  14. Cool subject! I have never looked into this kit, but I have enough other ones that will never get built. First time I have heard of a dash molded with the body. Is it Monogram?
  15. One of my favorite designs. Impractical as can be, would not want to crash head-on, between the steering column and windshield, ow! As others have said, good to see it's still drivable.
  16. Not me! I have enough Revell kits to last one lifetime, and that's the undesirable pile.
  17. I saw this custom Corvette at Pebble Beach, last century.
  18. That is a very special Corvette. You Want A Pretty, High-Dollar Corvette? How About The One Of The Three Handbuilt Scaglietti Corvettes?
  19. like flies, spontaneously
