  1. Now that is one smart looking rally car Rich. The decal work is remarkable. The posable front wheels are what we have come to expect, bravo.
  2. You look very pleased Snake.
  3. Impressive build. Especially the open hood louvers and the upholstery.
  4. It is a deal Ray and thank you very much. PM sent.
  5. Now that is a good looking Mercury Club Coupe. Might just have to put that on my watch list.
  6. Bravo my friend. Amazing craftsmanship. Travel safe.
  7. Thanks to all for your responses. I just tried to check the front frame and engine and now I am not certain whether I used an Aurora or Revell kit for those as I don't have either one to compare.
  8. Thanks for sharing a green DB5 as it sure looks good. Can't beat the price either.
  9. Rich, the engine was from a Revell XKE.
  10. 1954 Jaguar #14 Le Mans OKV 1 Another build from out of the archive. This is a Strombecker kit that has had an engine and fin added and detailed to the 1954 configuration as driven by Tony Rolt and Duncan Hamilton to second place behind a Ferrari 375 Plus.
  11. I had missed this one earlier so glad it is back. Have learned a several things watching your techniques which I appreciate.
  12. Looking good. I agree with Helmut, go easy on the gloss.
  13. A very well done iconic white Corvette Grand Sport. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  14. I like it a lot. But the interior is a bit of a letdown I am afraid.
  15. I just ordered some Ferrari Red and will give it a try. What color of primer did you use?
  16. I am not a color expert but that looks pretty darn good.
  17. Thanks Rex for the decal pic. I looked and I do have that one in my stash and it confirmed my Island Collectables connection too.
  18. Good to see the progress you are making. Please keep us posted.
  19. Appreciate the update.
  20. Interesting topic. Over the years (60+) of model building I have gravitated to a theme in my building and that is cars that have raced at the 24 Hours of Lemans. I enjoy the research and have amassed a large collection of both printed and digital reference materials related to this theme. My objective is to tell a story about the evolution of the race illustrated by the models. Having members here with the same interests to share with is a real bonus.
  21. I told the county water department there was a water problem near the street. They looked at it and said it was groundwater even though we have been in a drought. Finally, after another call they decided with water flowing out of the ground it was not groundwater but their leakng pipe problem. To their credit they jumped right on it and had it fixed in about 6 hours. Fortunately for me the leak was between their main water pipe and the meter so no cost to me.
  22. Nice collection you have inherited Ray. Thank you for sharing. Are they all the same scale?
  23. This is a build of the Hasegawa kit but at the time I did know of the Tamiya kit. I had to make the changes to the Hasegawa to the LeMans configuration.
  24. Rex, the CMA instructions say use the Fujimi MK II kit which was the only Fujimi kit available at the time. The decals came via Island Collectibles but I don't know who made them.
