  1. It has taken quite awhile but I am nearing to the end. Today I got the windows in after cleaning up some glue marks. Next will be fitting the rear spoiler.
  2. The announcers seem to have forgotten or never knew about 1976 and the NASCAR Dodge and Ford Torino. Probably still in short pants and sandals back then.
  3. Thank you Phil for this post. I had wanted to bring up Garage 56 but do not have a kit to illustrate the post with.
  4. Thank you Snake and Bob for your posts. I had heard from Lee just 4 days before his passing and regret not following up sooner. He was a really special car guy.
  5. Keyser, aka Lee, was a physician who specialized in pediatric pulmonology in San Antonio TX. He was also a classic sports car enthusiast and model car collector along with fine cigars. He had participated in the Colorado Grand last year as a co-driver. He will be best remembered perhaps for his sense of humor. He suffered from bone morrow cancer and had been through a morrow transplant.
  6. Very well done indeed. I am curious why IXO chose a light color interior for a plain work truck. I did go looking for one on the bay but the only one I could find was on the French eBay and shipping seemed high. Sunny Side and Motormax also make the '55 stepside but I really like the color of yours.

    Keyser

"Keyser", who was a frequent participant here and an ardent diecast collector has passed. I posted this below. Lee Kirchner, aka Keyser, passed in February. "Keyser" was a frequent participant on the board with a novel sense of humor and who I considered a dear friend. Obituary information for Lee C. Kirchner (porterloring.com

  9. Rich, you are the last person I can think of that I can associate the word "slump" with. I envy your productivity.
  10. Finally - after waiting almost a year since pre-ordering I received this Profil24 Cunningham 1952/53 C4RK in 1/24 scale. The comparison picture with the Fisher/Dragon C4R is deceiving because they are almost the same size.
  11. Oh yes. I like this a lot. But I already have the Welly dark blue version. Wait a minute, the Welly is a 1953.
  12. Well done as always Rich. The background works well too.
  13. The chassis is back together again. I had to rebuild the front spindles and modify the wheel attachment to get the tires to fit under the body properly. The chassis is painted to match the box art but I decided no to mess with it since it won't be seen.
  14. CAUTION When I tried to open the doors and replace with brass doors on my scratchbuilt Barchetta disaster struck. If you open the doors, I recommend you reinforce the body with brass wire in the week areas. Or put in a floor pan tied to the rear buckhead. Or solidly attach the interior bucket to the body.
  15. Really excellent. IMHO you can't really appreciate the real thing unless you have stood looking at one. Makes your models all the more impressive.
  16. Can never have enough trailers. This one requires some assembly, and wheels. ?
  17. Glad it's back on the bench. Looking good.
  18. My first assignment in the Air Force was at Grissom AFB, formally Bunker Hill, where we had B-58s. The loudest USAF bird on takeoff with 4 afterburners.
