How big is your... stash?
Gramps46 replied to Pierre Rivard's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
My inventory list says 396 kits in the stash. All are 1/24 or 1/25 scale. Those in the little white boxes are resin bodies or transkits though. Too many for an old man in his mid-70s. -

Popular rig back in the day and you captured the look perfectly. -
Extremely clean build of the Tamiya kit. Could we see the underside per chance. Just curious.

I too missed the unveiling and am very impressed with the final result. The amount of scratch building which you put into this build is amazing.

A REALLY rear engine Corvair - unsafe at any depth!
Gramps46 replied to mr moto's topic in Model Cars
As a former Corvair owner I just love it. Exceptional execution. -
Thank you Rex for posting the Scalemates kit diagram.

I like your approach with your build of the Cobra. Please keep us posted with pictures.

I want to thank everyone for your kind thoughts. It was quite a year on the bench and now I need to get back on it.

Super nice collection for the year. The Studebaker is special.

I agree the Jouef P/4 spyder is a beautiful model and not easy to find. I am going to decal mine to represent 0834 before its unfortunate accident at Le Mans in 1967.

Very well done all the way around. Congratulations on a super year.

Every one of them is looking good but my favorite is the Porsche long tail.

I am using the label completions in the title because some of these models were started decades ago and just finished in 2022. They are a collection of 1/24 plastic kits and modified diecasts. Once again, I am very impressed with what you have accomplished. The clip technique has been filed away in my kit building archive with a big star for ease of retrieval. -
Amazing craftmanship. Really appreciate your sharing the photos with us.

A BLACK FERRARI?? Yes, it is a black Ferrari, a 2016 LaFerrari Aperta in 1/24 scale by BBurago. I might have passed it up except for the unusual color and then find out it is a hybrid with nearly 1000 combined CV. It probably does not need to be said but it was a limited-edition Ferrari.

The ramp truck looks super as does the JWA GT40.

Wire wheels for 1950's race cars
Gramps46 replied to Pierre Rivard's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Pierrie, I think the wires you have done look pretty darn good. One suggestion is to paint the spokes a darker color or as Rich does is brush ? some Tamiya smoke color on the spokes. Model Builders Warehouse has some 3D printed ones in 1/24 scale which look darn good. -
Very well done indeed.
