  1. The k-frame should be semi gloss black. The frame rails are part of the unibody and are body color.
  2. Very nice ! Looks like you could jump in and drive it!
  3. Wow, that came out great! I've been following the WIP. Nice job!
  4. I use a 1 oz. medicine cup with about 2 drops of water. I guess a "pinch" of chalk would be the right amount. The chalk settles to the bottom so you need to tilt the cup a little to get some on your brush. Play around with it a little and you'll find the right amount. The neat thing is you can let the water dry out and store the cup with the chalk after use. I've got a stack of them with different colors. I just add a drop or two of water and I'm back in business. For lighter colored models, you can make it a bit more gray and add a little colored chalk that is close to the body color.
  5. I like to use a wash consisting of ground up black chalk, water and a drop of dish soap. It flows nicely into the panel lines and the excess can be wiped away when dry. I also use it for grilles, it works beautifully. On this model, it was used for the door gaps, and a mix of red, black and yellow was used for the rust around the lug nuts.
  6. Nice build of an iconic car!
  7. Nicely done! Super clean build.
  8. Absolutely superb. You would think that the photos are of a 1:1 car.
  9. #11 exacto knife and tweezers. And for old guys like me, a hobby loupe!
  10. Nice! The engine compartment weathering is spot on.
  11. Has the 62 Cadillac convertible ever been released in kit or resin? I just watched the movie "My Cousin Vinny " for the fortieth time and was thinking what a great model the Caddy would make. Actually the Skylark convertible would be awesome too.
  12. Nice paint and foil. Well done!
  13. This is a replica of an E100 that I owned in the early 90's. It was nicknamed "the bane", because one of my good friends in NYC had problems pronouncing the V in van. I gradually replaced the doors with junkyard parts as the originals rusted out. It had a 300 straight six and went over 300,000 miles. It was a road trip machine! I'm working on 3d printing some Ford dog-dish hubcaps to make it more true to the1:1.
  14. Awesome build! You knocked it out of the park. Great job with the scratch building.
  15. Nicely done! I like the panel lines on the inside door panels. I never thought of doing that.
  16. Is the kit molded in black or is it white? I've built both over the years. You takes your choice whether the body or the chassis will be easier to paint!
  17. I like Model Master acrylic semigloss black. Seems to flow nicely.
  18. Very nice. Super clean build and your foil work is top notch!
  19. Nice job bringing the Lindberg to life. It looks like the owner is not happy with it though! I spent a lot of time in that position under my Power Wagon.
  20. Beautiful! Your paint work is outstanding.
  21. Monogram made the C4 Vette convertible in 1:24. The engine is a 350 TPI I believe.
  22. Sharp! That's a good looking model.
  23. Very nice! They look realistic enough to jump in and give that stream a try!
  24. Nicely done! I like the subtle mods because this body style is so nice to start with. One of your best!
