  1. wheel number 1. bumpers look great, as does the body. Im on the fence with the scoop, but Thats just my personal taste
  2. I WILL be building one of mine like this. I LOVE IT
  3. I had told Ed I wanted a 32 4 door body and told him to set aside the next 4 door body he wasn't going to sell due to blemishes and I'd buy it off him. my plan was to use the "blemished" body to chop the "good" one.... he sent me the blemished body and it took me half an hour to find the issue with it. I dont even want to cut it now because it's still so nice
  4. does anyone else compare all other resin to Eds? @krassandbernie is my go to guy for nearly all my early hot rod/drag stuff. here's part of my last order or 2.
  5. LOVE THE FADE!!!! car screams mid 60s
  6. now thats a hot rod!!! very close to how Id actually build it as well
  7. Loving the conversion! makes the top look chopped already
  8. As the guys said, just search Don nicholson 65 Comet. You will find TONS of photos. the restored car is beautiful but its not how the car was raced to be honest, and from what Ive seen, its not much of the original car either. Once Don started cutting on the car for the match race circuit, it got cut up HARD. If there is anything specific youd like to know, send me a DM. Unfortunately, all my fathers reference material is 600 miles away from me but I should know, can find out I have several of the kit because Ive had a 65 Comet for 26 years, my dad has one powered by a dual quad center oiler 427.
  9. Hot Rod in 65 had full features of the car. Its probably the most photographed 65 Comet AFX there is. Which version do you want to build? The original, the first altered, the 2nd altered, When Pete Gates raced it or the restoration? My father is a 60s to early 70s ford and mercury drag racing historian. The Moebius kit is of the restored car
  10. Killer, Looks like Mark Skippers T!!!
  11. Ive never been a big Cobra fan (always liked the gt40 more) but a DRAG COBRA is killer. NICE SAVE
  12. nailed it
  13. NICE work. I miss beating on my 65. I really need to get it back together
  14. The 62 Catalina is one of my favorite kits. As is the starliner. OH and yours came out killer
  15. lowered OBS fords are about as perfect as they come. nice work!
  16. so I recently got this survivor and it needed a bath. Not thinking I washed, dried it and reassembled it...well now the pipe cleaner wire has rusted and I ruined it. I've tried everything... im disgusted and discouraged so I'm gonna redo it as close as I can in a true @Snake45rebuilt/clean up... I THINK the original builder used 3mm pipe cleaner...anyone have a good source.. I don't need a lot and I'm thinking 3 colors. an off white, turquoise and a very light blue.. seems everything Im finding is 6mm
  17. it definitely brings out the color. Didnt late 50s GM have rugs like that as well?
  18. the metallic powder looks perfect for a custom interior!
  19. thanks Pat!!!
  20. I think the key to realistic asphalt may be not to have a consistent finish. I think what you have looks good. I was looking at my long board (skateboard) grip tape the other day as a possible donor for something I have in mind.
