  1. That weathering job is perfect. It looks like a real cool old workhorse!?
  2. Well done! That is cool.?
  3. The paint looks great Mike, and I love all that plumbing you did in the engine bay!?
  4. They will work great. They can make some nice intricate bends without kinks.
  5. Thank You everyone for your appreciation!? I had fun building this one, and I agree with a lot of you that this is one car that looks better with a vinyl roof than without.
  6. Sweet! You made her look good Mike.?
  7. That is one beautiful looking T-Bird there Ryan! ? And that interior is one of the nicest I’ve ever seen.
  8. Nice looking car!? What kit is that?
  9. Yes, nice job on this one James! I love these old Chevys.?
  10. This is the revell of Germany Kit. It is overall a very nice kit. The paint is Mr. Color #57 Metallic Blue Green. Final clear coat is Revell acrylic gloss on the body and Tamiya XF-86 on the roof. I added the vinyl top, Gofer seat belts, and stock exhaust tips. Thanks for looking! 11. Thank you all very much for your encouraging comments!? A thank you also to Geoff Brown (GEE BEE) for this tip in his kit review build on how to glue two piece side mirrors. It solved a small conundrum for me.? I didn’t like the chrome exhaust tips in the kit, which weren’t really available from the factory anyways, so I made some tips that are closer to stock. I am calling this one done now. Thanks again everyone. More pics here:
  12. Yes it is a solid core wire. It measures 0.063 inches diameter, which would be 1.6mm. Any properly sized solid wire could be used. The advantage to copper or brass in my mind is that it can be soldered to make an extremely solid set of headers. YMMV.?
  13. Nice! I love that paint.?
  14. Now that is really looking sharp! ?What brand is that chrome yellow paint?
  15. Once I do decide to start a kit, I will google the heck out of the vehicle. I save any colour and detail pics I like. I will also e-mail myself links to any technical articles that may be of use to me.
  16. Doh!? I know that having owned ‘68-‘71 chevys and mostly GM’s all my life…so I fixed it! Thanks for jogging my brain.? Thanks! Yeah long thin decals are best being positioned and the paper pulled out from under them, but that didn’t work properly for me this time. Why thank you…thank you very much.
  17. Mine is a 2013 PRHT (the red-headed step child of Miatas) with a 6MT. It is a fun car to drive! I do my best to put distance between myself and large vehicles and scary drivers.? We were planning to maybe head out to the east coast with the F250 and 5vr, but with gas prices going crazy, it may be the Mazda.?
  18. Well I finally got the nerve up to tape off all that trim and spray the XF-86 flat clear on the roof. I had visions of ripping the foil off with the tape but thankfully that didn’t happen. I managed to get all the glass in without getting glue everywhere. I used a glue looper to apply the model master clear parts cement. The under carriage has been done for a while now.
  19. Nice work! That blue looks great on it.?
  20. Excellent upgrades you’re doing to this one. I especially like the extra trim pieces and the opening vent windows.?
