how do you paint the model pieces
NOBLNG replied to youpey's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I will assemble parts like engine halves and parts that will be the same colour and paint as a unit. Small parts I will clean up the flash and mount on an alligator clip or toothpick. If there is no tab to clip onto, I may superglue it in an unseen spot to a piece of sprue. Usually no touch ups are required. -
It also says “incomplete”.

It is top quality, you will not be disappointed. It comes with 2 “needles” and 3 nozzles. My first airbrush was an Iwata eclipse (also top quality) but I haven’t touched it since getting my Paasche H. The H sprays beautifully and is super easy to clean. I love the external mix system...nothing inside the airbrush to clean. I recommend getting some extra glass jars from Paasche. The jars are great for doing bodies and larger items. The cup is nice for smaller one coat jobs.

DANGEROUS WHEEL ANTS...

Probably marketed by the same folks who sell the replacement wire smoke for the Lucas electrical systems.? -
Looks great! Love that colour.

I’m a big fan of Keystone Classics and Oval slotted mags. They look good on any Muscle car.
-
Definitely not an improvement over stock. Again, some other wheels may help, but it looks like he kit-bashed a Camaro into it.?

I use the innards of an old usb cable. Type this into google and you will get a whole bunch of threads on here. site:modelcarsmag.com battery cables You can substitute “battery cables” for any subject you want to search on here.

She’s a beauty. Nice work!?

Is that really styrene? I would swear that is an old stamped steel toy that was stropped and left to rust.?
-
Thanks Guys. This is an old thread that I posted a link to in another thread. I was hoping to give a fellow modeller a heads up on the issues I encountered.

I cast some engine accessories for my resin engines. This time I made a framework of styrene that becomes part of the lower half of the mold. The result is little tubs that I can pour the resin into. I can fish out any large air bubbles with a toothpick and then put the other half of the mold on. The resin has nowhere to go but into the voids and out the vent holes, taking any remaining air bubbles with it. Virtually perfect casts this time.?

Looks very nice. I wouldn’t have thought to combine a red interior with the orange but they actually look good together.?

For foiling rough surfaces like this I have used a large soft eraser to press the foil down. I also have an eyeliner pen I got from the wife that has a very soft rubber tip on it that I use sometimes.
