  1. Quite the imagination you have Gary...and talents! The back end reminds me of an extra terrestrial.?
  2. I mostly use the mitre box. My first saw was an Exacto, then I found this Huron (top) on clearance at Michaels. It has even finer teeth than the Exacto and is really good on thin wall stuff.
  3. Wow, excellent work going on here Anton!? I too prefer the stock hood.
  4. I like the colour too...almost a Caterpillar yellow.?
  5. Looking really nice Nigel.?These cars always remind me of a mini-Camaro.
  6. There’s a good bit in this thread.
  7. I made some inner wheel rims from pvc pipe and some bead lock rings. I’m not sure if I am going to use these for this build...but I definitely plan on using them on future builds. I also fabbed some interior door panels. I’m not going big on detail for the interior, but I can’t have nothing!?
  8. Hello Mark. The most important thing to remember, is that it’s a hobby, something to pass the time and have fun with. Perfection is something to aim for...but the goal posts keep moving on that one.? The more you build, the more you will expand your endeavours. Or if putting together box stock builds satisfies you, that’s great too. Have fun with it!
  9. I hope you are all well now Lorne. And glad to see you back at it. Your detailed work just astounds me!?
  10. What Roger said.? With a bit of water, and rinse well when done.
  11. Nope, but I have had my little spring loaded drill hop off the part and drill into my finger a few times!?
  12. Sorry, the wagon is not mine☹️, just a pic I pulled off the net. Are the ones you posted diecasts? They are nice! I have a Cooper Tires diecast Willys in those colors.
  13. Thanks for your interest...I am just making these for myself though. And thanks everyone for the compliments!?
  14. My latest resin casts didn’t harden up properly. I must not have mixed them well enough, as it’s not the first casts from this batch of resin.
  15. We have the same first aid kit ?, although I don’t know how this happened. We were out shopping for a new recliner for the wife and on the way home I noticed I was bleeding. ?
  16. I fabbed a couple of steering boxes and cast them. At first I did the GM one on the right, which mounts outside the frame, since that is what my truck has. Then I remembered that I switched to the J10 frame, so I need one that mounts inside the frame. Now that I have the box, I can get started on the linkages.
  17. I’ve never heard of that...so I looked it up and it sounds like great stuff! I am going to pick some up at Michaels later today.
  18. Nice. Everyone should have silly, fun projects in their life.??
  19. I like the rear deck treatment and the side scoops.?
  20. I think the stance looks just fine. Nice job so far.?
  21. That is definitely what is holding me up on my current project. I’ve been casting copies of my scratch built parts and parts from kits that I don’t want to steal from.
  22. I think it’s FINDING parts and tools that I’ve just laid down on my bench minutes ago.?
