Thanks for the info Michael, I have already made into a double pumper...sort of. Plug wires and vacuum hose are 30AWG wire wrapping wire. Fuel line is 24gage artistic wire. The fuel filter is a chunk of clear sprue and the wire looms I made from a beer can.

Thanks for the replies. From googling images, I see the large round hole on the carb is not close to realistic, and the carb seems to be mounted backwards (keyed mounting hole). It will have an air cleaner so not too visible. I just figured I would detail it for practice purposes. I am not trying to be factory correct. I pretty much build all my models as if I was building up a 1:1 project car for my own use and enjoyment, including small modifications.

When I was a kid, I had a subscription to Hot Rod magazine and Popular Hot Rodding. One of them did a piece on the CERV ll. I remember being totally amazed at the 0-60 time! Sold recently? For 1.1m https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/NY13/Art-of-the-Automobile/lots/r127-1964-chevrolet-cerv-ii/296136 -

I have noticed with my i-phone that it has to be held close to vertical. If I try to take a picture looking straight down at something, it will not load onto this site. If it is tilted more than about 45 degrees it may not work. Also, as noted above, holding the phone (if that is what you are using) sideways will keep the picture rotated correctly when you upload them. -
What carb is this supposed to be? A Holley 4bbl? Thanks, Greg. P.S. David, it does say molded in orange on the bottom of the box.

Looking pretty good so far! -
How good are the Testors spray enamels and spray laquers? I have bought all the models I like at Michaels and now need something else to use my 50% off coupons on! I figure I should start stockpiling paint now. They only carry the Testors enamel, laquer and transparent paints. Are they any good or should I spend triple the money for Tamiya at the LHS? Thanks for any opinions, Greg. P.S. the transparents...are those like candies?

IIRC the minimum height here for a windshield is 13". -
If I had a spare $12,500, I would take a nice long holiday in the Netherlands and area and maybe pop in to see the seller and take some pics of my own.

"drives me mental"..."makes me lose it" You guys should take steps to preserve your sanity! -
My advice would be to leave it as a 4WD! You will need it with the plow on there.

Drills For Plastic (making holes!)
NOBLNG replied to Miatatom's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The circuit board drills look like a real good option! https://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1311.R2.TR2.TRC0.A0.H1.Xcircuit+board+drill+bits.TRS0&_nkw=pcb+print+circuit+board+carbide+micro+drill+bits&_sacat=0 -
Drills For Plastic (making holes!)
NOBLNG replied to Miatatom's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Yes a better set of drill bits is worth the money! You may luck out and get a fairly well sharpened cheapo set, but the tips on the two sets I bought and returned looked nothing like a drill bit should. Here are pics of two good sets. (The Morse set is better than the mascot so I save them for drilling metals.) I also use a straight pin to center punch the hole location on plastic. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/130290-drill-bits/?tab=comments#comment-1891232 -
Here are some I'd LIKE to build! Plus the challenger from Vanishing Point and of course ALL the cars from American Graffiti !

Love the woodwork! Great job. -
Good advice! I don't care if my models are factory accurate. I like to paint them colors that the factory SHOULD have used!

Looking good! I just picked this kit up today with a 50% off coupon from Michaels.

So you guys are making emblems that you can glue on after the paint job correct? I have never tried this yet. -

What did you see on the road today?
NOBLNG replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
No Photo shop on this one! I took the pic myself. Why they left the rear-seat back in place I will never know? it would look a lot cooler with a corvette-style valence/cover there behind the front seats.
