  1. Great to see your recent work Richard. I’ve always liked the mild custom look for mid-century cars and yours does it to a “T”. Also happy to see you’re on the mend! Stay well, Misha
  2. In regards to digital content, what will happen to the existing digital copies of SA? I switched to the digital format in 2015 and now wonder if the same fate will result as with my Rod & Custom copies that vanished when they ceased to publish...
  3. Great concept Mark! Your bodywork is very impressive, especially the fit of the tonneau cover. In shaping the piece did you use heat and approximately how thick was the plastic? Also how did you cut the clear palstic? Cheers Misha
  4. Me too... can we see some more! Cheers Misha
  5. What a great collection of builds Gary, all of them historically valuable versions. To my eye the first leaf sprung Cobras are the prettiest while the coil overs were beasts (in a good way). Cheers Misha
  6. Welcome aboard Steve! This is truly a great place for sharing info, tips and builds. Cheers Misha
  7. Quite a few years ago, perhaps decades now, I found Rubbermaid silverware dividers to be the right size for the Evergreen strips which I keep in numerical order. I use an Italian tie box to keep the Plastruct strips in the same way. Scrap pieces are sorted by length mainly. Cheers Misha
  8. That’s a delicious confection Alan! Beautiful rendition of a vintage classic Rod. Also just noticed that you’ve switched it to RHD, Down Under Style. Congrats on a real piece of eye candy, Cheers Misha
  9. Truely impressive build Wayne! Your attention to detail and execution are top rate, the construction and paint are flawless. Cheers Misha
  10. Count me in for this round Snake! I had too many tasks to join in last time, so now I’m ready to tackle my long overlooked Tall T Coupe. I’ll get some current photos up later today... Congrats to all the completions that have been achieved, cheers Misha
  11. Another fascinating build about to commence! I’ve always been fascinated by the pre-war Auto Unions and this will a great addition to your collection. Will you be doing a replica rather than the usual alterations, yet still with the Womack touch? Cheers and wishing you well, Misha
  12. Nice work Phil! Really like the look of the body mods with the 37 headlights. The P/E grill is perfect, especially on the shot with the hood up. Congrats on a fine build! Cheers Misha
  13. Thanks Bill & Ace. I agree that the setup is unique and most probably based on fiction. I believe that I will go ahead and consider it as a multi-plate clutch assembly only. Thanks again, Misha
  14. I am building the Corvair FC based on the Hurst Hemi Under Glass and am perplexed by the drive line to the rear end. I have replaced the kit engine with BBC and am keeping the rest of the drive line. On the engine plate is what appears to be a clutch, yet what happens next is a mystery to me. Is it a direct drive or an “in and out” box, similar to the CAE found on track cars? I’m currently making the clutch bearing fork to be activated by a hydraulic slave cylinder and wondering if an gear box would be activated by a solenoid? Any help or photos would be great! Thanks Misha
  15. I’ve been using Vallejo for interior work as I prefer to brush on rather than intricate masking. My go to for black is German Grey and Grey Primer (see photo for number) for contrast. I have found the paint flows on Tamiya primer very well, though multiple coats are required to achieve the textured sheen of scale upholstery. I also tested one of the new metallics on brushing it on bare white plastic and it appears to be quite a durable finish. Cheers Misha
  16. In my parts stores there is a complete 1:25 scale P/E hose clamp set that’s hard to beat, especially for the screw type, plus it came mounted on a backing sheet that didn’t require any cutting. If memory serves me, it was produced by Parts by Parks. Cheers Misha
  17. Great chrome on the Falcon and Galaxie... is it BMF or another technique? Cheers Misha
  18. Very kool! and a “quick build”. Congrats on a grand tribute build for Big Daddy! Misha
  19. Wow, things have certainly progressed since the last time I checked in. Quite outrageous! No surf buggy... Cheers Misha
  20. I can sympathize, sometimes hard to stick with one project. My Deuce WIP projects themselves number thirty-two ?! Please keep us updated with photos as you are off to a great start. Cheers Misha
  21. Clean and sweet! Great ? job Pete, the colour really pops and is set off by the right combination of wheels and tires. Cheers Misha
  22. Great start with the blue fade away paint scheme, looks great! I’ll be following your build! Cheers Misha
  23. Congrats to the Cactus Car Modelers and to all the participants in DSC 16 for a well run and organized event! It was quite a feat to change the event to a virtual one rather than cancel or postpone it. The entry procedure and page layouts were smooth and professional. Congrats also to the winners and thank you for the wins! Hopefully we will see a return to the usual venue for next year. Only downside this year is missing out on the barbecue at Dan’s and all the camaraderie amongst the participants. Cheers Misha
  24. Thanks Dan, I enjoyed your build from last year of the Jr. Fueler and the current Model A. Your fabrication skills are impressive. I have always favoured this class and Jr. Stocks for their ingenuity and tech skills rather than big buck approach that developed in Drag racing in later years. Cheers Misha
  25. WOW! If it had wings it could fly.... amazing work John, and so great to follow along, thanks for sharing! Cheers Misha
