  1. Congrats Anders on a very sweet ride! Cheers Misha
  2. What a surprise to see a Dauphine, let alone the great rendition you have constructed Phillip. The deep blue with the white stripes adds a zing to the vehicle. The contemporary wheel choice also works on this early 60s model. I am curious if you added the sun roof? As a kid growing up in the middle of Canada the Renault Dauphine was a fairly common sight back in the day and your work brought back a lot of memories. Thanks for exhibiting your work and congrats on an eye catching build. Cheers Misha
  3. Welcome back Bob! I’m certainly with you regarding FB and it appears that we are in fine company here. Looking forward to your future postings. Cheers Misha
  4. This build is really progressing nicely Phil! Your detailing and scratch-building is very impressive with its authenticity to the prototype. I’ve also been a fan of Jim Hall and his unique engineering approach to road racing. Looking forward to seeing your work in person! Cheers Misha
  5. Great to see another one being built! I currently have one on the go much further down the WIP thread here. Using the 427 Rat out of the 37 Chevy to replace the elephant in the kit. Also adding much needed detail to the interior. With summer and a large garden been away from the bench, now wanting to get back. Look forward to your build, the box art is a great depoction. Cheers Misha
  6. Very kool, it glistens! Cheers Misha

Smooth is right! I would question that your skill set has diminished, especially with your chassis work and assembly of left over parts. Great ? work! Congrats Misha
  8. Great save! Your rendition wants me to get in and head on out to the coast. Cheers Misha
  9. Beautiful execution of aftermarket pieces and detailing resulting in a Bronco with great attitude. Congrats Misha
  10. Great conversion and finish Steve. Curious if you may be searching for a hood? Cheers Misha
  11. Great to see your recent work Richard. I’ve always liked the mild custom look for mid-century cars and yours does it to a “T”. Also happy to see you’re on the mend! Stay well, Misha
  12. In regards to digital content, what will happen to the existing digital copies of SA? I switched to the digital format in 2015 and now wonder if the same fate will result as with my Rod & Custom copies that vanished when they ceased to publish...
  13. Great concept Mark! Your bodywork is very impressive, especially the fit of the tonneau cover. In shaping the piece did you use heat and approximately how thick was the plastic? Also how did you cut the clear palstic? Cheers Misha
  14. Me too... can we see some more! Cheers Misha
  15. What a great collection of builds Gary, all of them historically valuable versions. To my eye the first leaf sprung Cobras are the prettiest while the coil overs were beasts (in a good way). Cheers Misha
  16. Welcome aboard Steve! This is truly a great place for sharing info, tips and builds. Cheers Misha
  17. Quite a few years ago, perhaps decades now, I found Rubbermaid silverware dividers to be the right size for the Evergreen strips which I keep in numerical order. I use an Italian tie box to keep the Plastruct strips in the same way. Scrap pieces are sorted by length mainly. Cheers Misha
  18. That’s a delicious confection Alan! Beautiful rendition of a vintage classic Rod. Also just noticed that you’ve switched it to RHD, Down Under Style. Congrats on a real piece of eye candy, Cheers Misha
  19. Truely impressive build Wayne! Your attention to detail and execution are top rate, the construction and paint are flawless. Cheers Misha
  20. Count me in for this round Snake! I had too many tasks to join in last time, so now I’m ready to tackle my long overlooked Tall T Coupe. I’ll get some current photos up later today... Congrats to all the completions that have been achieved, cheers Misha
  21. Another fascinating build about to commence! I’ve always been fascinated by the pre-war Auto Unions and this will a great addition to your collection. Will you be doing a replica rather than the usual alterations, yet still with the Womack touch? Cheers and wishing you well, Misha
  22. Nice work Phil! Really like the look of the body mods with the 37 headlights. The P/E grill is perfect, especially on the shot with the hood up. Congrats on a fine build! Cheers Misha
  23. Thanks Bill & Ace. I agree that the setup is unique and most probably based on fiction. I believe that I will go ahead and consider it as a multi-plate clutch assembly only. Thanks again, Misha
  24. I am building the Corvair FC based on the Hurst Hemi Under Glass and am perplexed by the drive line to the rear end. I have replaced the kit engine with BBC and am keeping the rest of the drive line. On the engine plate is what appears to be a clutch, yet what happens next is a mystery to me. Is it a direct drive or an “in and out” box, similar to the CAE found on track cars? I’m currently making the clutch bearing fork to be activated by a hydraulic slave cylinder and wondering if an gear box would be activated by a solenoid? Any help or photos would be great! Thanks Misha
  25. I’ve been using Vallejo for interior work as I prefer to brush on rather than intricate masking. My go to for black is German Grey and Grey Primer (see photo for number) for contrast. I have found the paint flows on Tamiya primer very well, though multiple coats are required to achieve the textured sheen of scale upholstery. I also tested one of the new metallics on brushing it on bare white plastic and it appears to be quite a durable finish. Cheers Misha
