  1. Impressive detail and build quality! Wishing you the best in '24.
  2. MCW paints sells a "Ford Engine Green" Part #2830 that is meant to be representative of paint used on 1928-1950 Ford engines.
  3. What an interesting collection of unique vehicles. Looking forward to seeing more of your work in '24!
  4. Really, really nice work!
  5. You may have too much time on your hands but you certainly put it to good use! The quality of craftsmanship that your work displays is mind boggling. The level of creativity is inspiring......the SalzWagen....who thinks of such things? Simply amazing!
  6. I think the 2012 Corvette Grand Sport Coupe is my favorite but the 1956 Ferrari 290 MM (Mille Miglia) is VERY cool. Hope you continue the great work in the coming year.
  7. A beautifully rendered group, hard to say which is my favorite given the terrific quality of work!
  8. Wow! Quite the collection. Love the Chaparral!
  9. A very creative and impressive body of work for 2023. Well done!
  10. Nicely done.....hope the coming year is equally productive for you.
  11. Another vote for that slammed panel truck.....very cool.
  12. Indeed you have been productive in 2023! Very nicely built collection of diverse subjects.
  13. Good looking engine! I'll be keeping an eye on this one.
  14. Love the clean custom look and impressive paint"…..that acid rain lends a unique appearance to the model!
  15. Actually the wheels were an interesting challenge that is pretty much resolved. Broken parts, my lack of familiarity with resin kits, and the amount of prep and modification involved to turn out a reasonable model all contributed to my decision. Bottom line is I should have started this thing a year ago and avoided the surprises and resulting stress. I'll keep on working on the kit but I am not convinced I would have something ready for the March deadline. I thought it only fair to give somebody else the opportunity to model Clark's #59.
  16. This looks like a fun project that's off to a good start. I'll be following this one.
  17. I apologize to the group but I am withdrawing my #59 Lotus Cortina entry. The build is not going well and has gone back in the box. Hopefully it will see the light of day eventually but for the moment I am not having fun with it and if you aren't having fun then a hobby turns into a chore. If somebody else is interested in doing Jim Clark's #59 the entry is now open. Good luck......and I do look forward to continue watching this thread and learning from the posts of the many skilled and experienced modelers.
  18. One sweet looking little hot rod. Well done!
  19. Thanks Gary, good tip on the boot ends!
  20. Very nice build. Some of the most realistic spark plug wiring I’ve ever seen. How did you do the plug wire boot ends?
  21. A classy ride nicely modeled! Is this a Tamiya kit?
  22. Nor can I explain why I like the 2002 so much......but I do. Your model provides an excellent rendition of an absolute classic. Well done.
  23. Hi Noel, Yes I am attempting the Motor Museum in Miniature Lotus Cortina. This is my first resin cast kit so it's something completely new for me. The kit is a curbside so no engine. I think it's the nature of resin kits to require lots of clean up and prep work but the detail seems pretty good. While I've not done any measurements to confirm that all the proportions are correct I don't see any obvious flaws in the body shell. I posted some pictures of the kit bits on the "Sebring 12 Hours 1964 proposed group build thread" on page 16. Hopefully this link will get you to that page: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/174307-sebring-12-hours-1964-proposed-group-build-thread/page/16/ I have ordered a set of the Motobitz wheels that I think are appropriate for my build. I would be interested in seeing your build progress should you be inclined to post any pics. Andrew
