I agree that some builders go larger but in 1/16th scale .039 is 5/8ths and 5/16ths in 1/8th scale. The larger you go, the more detail you’re leaving out if you DON’T install the detailed nuts. I once attempted a “Big T” and realized if I didn’t put in the oil pan plug and bolts it wouldn’t be detailed enough. such a dilemma!!! I wound up passing it off to a buddy of mine because I didn’t want to spend eternity on the build.?

Those are very nice but unless you’re looking for large bolts, they are not in scale. 1mm is close to 1” in 1/25th scale. I don’t mind putting in some details that are slightly out but sometimes the proportion is so far out, it looks toylike IMO. I can appreciate the model builder who attempts all the detail but I just assume leave it out. ?

I would lower the puck and also block all excess holes with duct tape. You only need the holes directly under the the perimeter of the window. This will give it better suction.

Water bottle caps work well for glue and small batches of mixed paint. Toss when done.

120 to 160 degrees. How will you perform the shaping? Are you vacuum forming or drape forming?

A slow turning drill should find the center. Just my opinion but I thought it would be worth a try before you spent $52.00 (Yikes) on custom seats.

A drill bit the size of the i.d. with a slow variable speed power drill would stay on center and zip them out in no time. Run strips of masking tape between the grommets and sand the high spots down without going through the tape. That would leave you with about a .007 rise in the grommet. Paint the seats and dab the grommets with a Molotow pen.

It may look like it but it is not. I don’t know what it is exactly but it is not Mylar. It is .001 thicker than BMF and works very well on straight lines that have straight or subtle rollovers. This corvette is a guinea pig for testing and was done a while ago. It’s still holding up. The MIG is not BMF but if you use BMF often it can replace it in certain applications at a cheaper cost.

She was one hell of a model maker.
