  3. Thanks fellows, I appreciate the feedback.
  4. Thanks Mike. That Revell 56 truck kit will make anyone look good. Look what it did for me ☺
  5. Thanks guys. I never glue my bodies on so it can be replaced but I have the 56 stored for now.
  6. I got the engine assembled. Not my best work but it works for me.
  7. Yeah....that 55 210 was pretty shape as well. It was about the color of my 55 I had back in 76.
  8. Nice job Keith. I really like the Thunderbolt. The paint looks outstanding man.
  9. Nice work on the 34. The color looks great.
  10. It looked like it wanted to rain at any min yesterday morning but the forecast showed no rain. The wife and I decided to pack up the 49 Chevy truck at 8:00 am and head to the Timeless Classics Car/Truck show in Petersburg IN which was about an hour away. It was a little chilly in the morning around 50 degrees with a 10 to 15 mph wind but by the end of the day it was turned out pretty nice. There was 175+ registered cars/truck at the show which broke their all time record of entries and we ended up winning a trophy. The wife and I had a nice day. Hope you enjoy the pics.
  11. Welcome to the forum David. Just retired 8 months ago.
  12. Looks good Jeremy. I really like the old trucks.
  13. I agree with Alan about the People's Choice and Modeller's Choice. I've never been to a model car show or entered one in a show but have been to many Cruise-in's and car/truck shows with my 1:1 1949 Chevy truck. The clubs keep track of who wins each show and try not to pick the same car/truck each show. As mentioned, to spread the wealth. The clubs are slowly turning torwards having what is called a "Show & Shine". No trophy. Just come and show off your car/truck, enjoy the food, and the Hot Rod sene.
  14. I bought my first two pre-wired distributors when I got back into the hobby but make my own now with the distributor that comes in the kit. I don't bother with the firing order. If I get a Ford kit that has an engine with the distributor up front ill probably wire it correctly.
  15. Looks good. About a week ago I finished the amt 66 Nova Pro Street.
  16. Status report Mike.
  17. Thanks for all the info fellows. I haven't really been working on this kit but I did go ahead and get the distributor wired and painted.
  18. I've tried to free hand window trim with a black Sharpie and my hands are not that steady.
  19. Thanks for all the info fellows. Yeah....no 409 Carl but it's a slick looking car.
  20. Thanks for that pic Les. I pretty much do box stock.
  21. I've noticed this on the back of the Anita's acrylic craft paints.
  22. Yeah baby☺ I'll give it a shot.
  23. I was using my #11 blade going along the door gaps and slipped a couple time. What's the best way to repair this?
  24. Bought some supplies at the local HS and picked up some bmf to try on my next build.
  25. Thanks for the info and link Steve.
