  1. Thanks for the comments fellows.
  2. Well....despite the paint issues I had I finally got it finished. This pretty much looks like the pic I found online of a 66 Nova with everything murdered out. I lost my master cylinder so that is my attempt at making one out of part of the tree. I have been using Sharpie's for the trim and I think I need to move on to something different. Every kit I build I see the things that I should have done different so I guess I'm learning with each build.
  3. Ok fellows, I'm calling this one done. Pic will be in "Under Glass" shortly.
  4. Congratulations! Like they say.....the cream always rises to the top.
  5. I can only echo what others have said. Very nice collection of builds. I can only dream of building something half as good as what Steve Does. Someone tell me that Steve takes these master pieces to shows???
  6. Yeah the 289 Cobra is the ticket. The 61 Ranchero 1:1 would make a nice little daily driver to tool around town in.
  7. Looks pretty good and I like the green. I'll have to pick one up next time HL has their 40% off.
  8. I went to HL yesterday as the 40% off sale was going on but didn't see anything I liked. Same ole kits they always have and it looked like someone had already been there and picked up some of the favorites. I would have bought another 56 Ford Foose truck but they were all gone. Never been to Michael's so I stopped by and they only had a had full of kits and nothing I liked. $30 for a kit was out of my pay grade anyway. Probably won't go back there. I did see the Model Masters paint rack setting to the side with all the orange sale stickers on the bottles and spray cans.
  9. Hey Mike.....lets see that good lookin black Mustang.
  10. You'll get there Mike. I'm going to let the clear gloss on my 66 Nova set til Monday (4 days drying) then maybe just a little wet sanding then polish it.
  11. Sharp looking Woody Beamerman.
  12. Mike, hows the black on the roof coming along?
  13. Well I'll be. Just ran a tooth pick in each cap and it works fine now. I will keep this in mind whenever I use the Novus polish. Thanks fellows.
  14. I have the Novus 2 & 3 Polish and the caps keep clogging up. I've taken them off and cleaned them out with hot water. Once the polish gets back into the cap it will be clogged up. What's the trick to keep the caps unclogged???
  15. Nice work Ray. I have one setting on the bench waiting it's turn. Did you not build the go cart or is this a different kit?
  16. Hey now......that is bad ass lookin dude.
  17. Nice James. Here is the 66 Nova I've been working on and my first attempt at panel lines. I did mine with Tamiya black panel line accent. I did mine before the primer went on. Turned out pretty good.
  18. Thanks Mike. That is Delta Ceramcoat Midnight blue acrylic paint with a touch of black mixed in. It was cleared with Tamiya X-22 Cear. The build is in WIP and Under Glass.
  19. This thing is really kewl man. I'm diggin it.
  20. The Revell 1956 Ford truck (Foose) was my second build and it was great. No flash, no fit issues, and a great truck to build.
  21. I did go back after about 3 hrs and spray 2 more WET coats of the clear gloss. It looks wet and much better now. I thought it was going to run on me so I kept rotating the body for about 5 min. It finally settled down and leveled out.
  22. James....I'm a little too impatient myself and I've always been that way with everything. Very hard for me to break but I'm working on it.
  23. Look on the positive side Mike. The area needing re-worked is the easiest spot on the car. You've got the experience so it should come out pretty good.
  24. That is nice. Love that color and all the detail.
  25. Looking really good man. The detail is top notch dude.
