  1. I've tried to free hand window trim with a black Sharpie and my hands are not that steady.
  2. Thanks for all the info fellows. Yeah....no 409 Carl but it's a slick looking car.
  3. Thanks for that pic Les. I pretty much do box stock.
  4. I've noticed this on the back of the Anita's acrylic craft paints.
  5. Yeah baby☺ I'll give it a shot.
  6. I was using my #11 blade going along the door gaps and slipped a couple time. What's the best way to repair this?
  7. Bought some supplies at the local HS and picked up some bmf to try on my next build.
  8. Thanks for the info and link Steve.
  9. I won't be starting on this kit for a while but this 65 Impala body has been my test body for paint so I decided it's time to go ahead and build it as it's been in the drink one to many times. Like all my kits I like to pull everything out of the box and go through it to see if there are any missing or broken parts. I saw the 409 CID engine decals and got excited but it does not have it. Since Chip Fosse's "Impostor" 1:1 is setting on a 2008 C6 Corvette Chassis I assume this is a 6.2L LS3 engine. Really like the 409 as a friend of mine back in the day had a white 64 with the 2X4 Rochester carbs from the factory. Can't mistake the engine with that distinctive head shape. Any comments on the kit from someone that has built it?
  10. I've bought a couple from Model Roundup. A Pre-Wired Distributor Black Wiring with Plug Boot Material (1:24-1:25) (modelroundup.com)
  11. Are those older kits that have been re-boxed?
  12. That's really coming together nicely Craig.
  13. Nice work Gary. You were away from modeling longer than I was. 40+ for me.
  14. If you go with the Gasser look, drop the ass end down a little.
  15. I knocked over a full bottle of Testor's gloss black. I'll have to try the spray paint cap idea.
  16. That looks pretty slick Jim. I had a 37 Ford 1/2 ton pickup.
  17. I'm old school so I like the Gasser look.
  18. I know what you mean about patience Mike. I'm going to try bmf on my next project so explain it step by step if you don't mind.

    Nice looking little beater.
  20. Yup. Rust-Oleum 2X Flat Gray primer is what I always use. I airbrush craft acrylic paints and Tamiya acrylic paints. Here is a 65 Impala body I primed in Rust-Oleum Flat Gray that I shot Tamiya X-7 red acrylic paint over.
  21. Welcome to the forum Steven
  22. Looks like it cleaned up pretty nice Joe. What band and color paint you going with?
  23. That bed looks pretty nice there Michael. Has that real look effect.
  24. Thanks Carl. Keep moving forward so I'm going to try my hand at bmf on the next project.
