  1. Odd that Round2 has yet to reissue the iconic AMT '32 Ford 5-Window kit, almost 15 years now after they acquired the AMT assets. Perhaps the last run of kits though DTR introduced some problems? My vote for reissue box art if a reissue happens:
  2. Please post a link to your WIP topic if/when you start. I'll check out how well the Revell understructure fits the original AMT kit's body.
  3. Any of the modern-era 1/25 Revell/Monogram Tri-Five Chevy kits can supply a better rearend and separate leaf springs.
  4. There is video in YouTube, at least of the '88 Street Machine Nationals:
  5. Tons of catalogs from various manufacturers here: https://boxartden.com/collections/gallery/index.php/Vintage-Model-Kit-Catalogs-1950-1999
  6. This page is from the '84 Monogram catalog, showing both (nearly identical) 1/24 scale Snap-Tite '83 Camaro Z/28 kits: Last reissued in late 2012/early 2013, I wouldn't be surprised to see this one again semi-soon:
  7. Here are the relevant page sections from the 1984 Monogram catalog, when the Pro Stock kits debuted:
  8. Sounds like Revell may have been made aware of the issue (hopefully after sending them out), and asked re-sellers to open and inspect them. As John said, I'd actually prefer that, as it saves the buyer from having to replace defective parts.
  9. The Hay's T-bird was reissued not all that long ago so it shouldn't bee too difficult (nor expensive) to find. The Beretta Pro Street was also reissued within the last five(?) years, so at least the chassis for the J-2000 survives.
  10. Are you sure you're not Sam Waterston's younger brother? ?
  11. Here's a screengrab of the message between myself and Atlantis from 4-21-20 via facebook regarding the ex-Monogram 1/8 scale V8 Customizing Engine kit:
  12. Wow, love this. Very different, but it turned out well.
  13. Possibly. Perhaps they had better/more info that such an offering wouldn't be a great sales success, too.
  14. Atlantis knows exactly what is missing, and it sounded like it was enough to push it into the "maybe later" pile.
  15. Yes, the progress was covered over several issues, and it appears to be finished in the January 1977 issue:
  16. Please post the ebay seller's user ID you purchased from. That might help others know they are getting an opened and inspected kit which is guaranteed to not have major damage. Randy, did you buy yours from the same ebay seller as Larry? Assuming your kit was also sealed with something else and was damage free inside? Sounds like at least one seller was aware of the damage issue, and opened the kits to inspect, then re-sealed them after passing the inspection.
  17. Looks like this kit might be in line for reissuing soon? I thought it had been OOP for a while now. RMX-4438 1/25 Cadillac Custom Lowrider (Re-Issue) (MAY)
  18. You passed. ?‍? Next up, multi-quoting. ? Seriously, I wish that was still an option here.
  19. Though you specifically mentioned wanting aftermarket wheels, other issues of the 1/24 Monogram Chevy LUV pickup did include six-lug wheels, such as the Stepsider: The 1/24 Monogram (now Revell) Dodge Ramcharger also includes six-lug five-slot wheels, which, considering the kit was reissued not all that long ago, should be not too difficult to locate. I am 97.3% sure the original issue Monogram Chevy Blazer included six-lug wagon wheel-ish chrome plated wheels, too. I have a lone wheel which is molded in maroon plastic, and looks the part, so maybe someone can confirm? Not sure what Fireball Modelworks offers, but Joseph can likely set you up with something which will work:
  20. Stevens International lists July as the arrival date.
  21. I was worried it wasn't on display, but all the good stuff (IMHO) was in fact, on the lower level. None of the vehicles down there were restored, so it makes sense.
