  3. While this isn't the Tamiya kit, and I don't know enough about first gen RX-7s to guarantee these are correct, the AMT 1/25 snap fit kit appears to have the correct wheels in the correct (or very close to correct) 13" diameter:
  4. I switched over to fotki, deleted my Photobucket account, and not everything made the transition-- the Monogram LUV content images were a likely casualty. IIRC the High Roller-specific parts were shared with the '69 Camaro and '70 Chevelle High Roller kits, so it's anybody's guess if that specific mold insert(?) still exists and is usable. The Goodyear Tracker A-T tires (different from the normal Monogram GY Tracker AT tires mentioned in above posts) do still exist, and were included with the snap Humvee kits, so it might be possible. I honestly wouldn't expect to see any more variations of the LUV from Revell. This kit was likely planned before the Hobbico bankruptcy, and I have my doubt new Revell is going to dig too deeply into the tooling vault at this point.
  5. You want the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood for some of that '60s stuff. ? ☮️
  6. Considering there's a V8 under the hood, I think accurate, stock details were thrown out the window back in '77 or so. ? Any '70s and '80s era Monogram or Revell kit which hasn't been in the regular reissue cycle over the last 25+ years is best enjoyed as it is, or considered a decent starting point. 100% accuracy wasn't always Monogram's strength, but the basic kit got you 75% of the way there. Yes, the grille and headlight are too large, the chassis and floor pan detail simplified, and the eight lug wheels on a 1/4 ton 4-cylinder pickup are overkill, but the only other LUV option is the heavily customized Revell kit with an aftermarket bed, so that whole beggars and choosers thing seems to apply quite well with this kit.
  7. Looks like the tops of the rear fenders are too far away from the body. Stated another way, when viewed straight on from the rear, the LR fender appears to have been rotated counter-clockwise, and the RR fender clockwise. How does the grille piece fit inside the opening on the fenders piece? Is the gap wider at the top than the bottom?
  8. I was wondering what was embedded within the quarter panel stripe...: Plenty of reference images here, too: https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2018/04/16/luv-for-sale-at-texas-classic-auction/
  9. Looks like the snorkel air intake and stock five-spoke wheels are new to this release?
  10. Yes, and the '55 Ford Panel truck kits, too. I like that Revell is (correctly, IMHO) labeling this one a Monogram kit, too.
  11. They appear in bold if they are new/unread by you.

  13. AMT 1191 - '65 Pontiac GTO Looks like new(?) Hurst wheels for this kit? I don't recall them ever being included. Perhaps they were newly created for the HHUG kit, and will be included here, too.

  15. Which is smart business. ? As is this.
  16. I'm pretty sure this was discussed here previously, so a search might pull up the results. I seem to recall toy BMX bikes being recommended for knobby tires?:
  17. MPC issued a fair number of 1/20 scale kits from the late '60s though the mid '70s, so there are reasonably priced options. Decent BBC in this kit: Wild Ford/Gurney Weslake V8 in this one: Monogram released a few in the late '70s, though mostly Chevies, and one Jeep CJ-7. Lindberg also got back into the 1/20 scale game in the '90s, so again, you have options, but not as many if dealing with 1/25 scale.

  20. I would bet money on exactly that happening, as it was last reissued by Model King, but has not yet been reissued by Round2...
  21. Did Chad make an appearance? Asking for a friend...
  22. Looks like the (originally Lindberg) '64 Plymouth Belvedere is being reissued in 2020. Pic courtesy of Luc's Nurnberg Toy Show pics:
  23. Those are Haibrand quick change style axle assemblies, and the wheels are five-lug.
  24. There is no listed actual diameter, so sure, they could pass as 18" wheels in 1/24 scale, with a bolt circle diameter of 7.525", too... They are the 1/20 scale MPC wheels from the 1/25 scale Baja Brute Dodge Pickup, which have a very distinct cone shaped front locking hub. There is at least one five slot Halibrand style six lug wheel, too, but I'm not sure which kit it is from. I can post a pic of it in a day or two if you like.
