  1. Interesting how similar the above bumpers look like modern bumpers in this image, with a sharp, horizontal separation between the main body structure and bumper itself. Good call on passing on the three-piece window for Chevrolet, too.
  2. I saw these at least five years ago at Tuesday Morning under a different brand name, then Round2 sold some under the AMT brand, so this appears to be the third go around. They are close to 1/20 scale, but the bodies are slightly distorted, so maybe it's best they are in the toy realm, rather than accurate scale replicas.
  3. Also, give the below a try when you have a question. Odds are good it was discussed before, and there are existing answers posted on the forum:
  4. The Lindberg brand is dead as far as automotive kits goes. Lindberg was never known for top quality kits, and thought the new-in-the-'90s Lindberg kits were very good, the AMT brand has far more recognition, so it makes sense to re-brand them.
  5. They look like the same steel wheels Round2 created anew for the Color Me Gone '64 Dodge:
  6. Color, clear, then flat or matte where needed, in that order.
  7. That's not really Round2's game, so we'll have to enjoy the oldies as they are, and improve/modify where we see fit.
  8. It looks like they recreated the dog dish style hubcaps, and using those along with the new (at least new to this kit), it appears there are four distinct wheel options in this issue: Here's the same shot with the new (as in new-to-this-kit, I'm guessing the old steel wheels were long ago eliminated, and these are likely the same steel wheels included with other recent Round2 kits) steel wheels [red arrow], re-created chrome-plated light bar pieces [circled in green], and the "extra" chrome plated parts (headers, etc.) which were included with the AMT '70 Impala Heavy Chevy reissue are included here, too, circled in yellow:
  9. Possibly. That '57 Chevy Bel Air rear end treatment is rather distinct, so I like to think the 1:1 car is an homage to the 1:25 scale kit. Factor in those clear grille bars, and it seems hard to think the builder was inspired by anything else.
  10. Fingers still crossed that happens. Here's the sell sheet for the Rayson Craft boat kit:
  11. Are you looking for a stock style firewall for the AMT '32 Sedan? I have one which is designed fit he 1/25 Revell '32 Ford Sedan and 5W coupe, so I'm guessing it would need modifications to fit the AMT '32 Sedan:
  12. If an answer to a simple question was what you truly wanted, you would have taken 30 seconds, used the Google search and the search term "Ford GT40", and gotten all the same hits, this answering your question. It's okay to have a question, search for an answer and find it, and not post anything. While this is a discussion forum, that doesn't mean you have to say something if you truly don't have something to say. Better yet, why not do the research yourself, and spend the time compiling a list of all the GT40 kits which have been made, and post it here on the forum for future reference?
  13. Literally a half dozen topics here on this very forum about various GT40 kits, only a search away...
  14. Your first account and post worked fine:
  15. You may also want to verify the trans length, as that appears to be a B-body length 727. Also, tape the floorboard piece in place, as the underside/exterior side of the driveshaft tunnel should be pained at the same time as the surrounding areas.
  16. Here's a better look at the engine parts: And Mike Wherry's gorgeous built version: And an in-progress build with detail images:
  17. Link to the Golden Sahara II Dave article Dave mentioned: https://www.customcarchronicle.com/custom-history/jim-street-golden-sahara-ii/#.Xdn-aehKi00 https://www.customcarchronicle.com/cc-builders/jim-skonzakes-customizer/jim-street-collection-uncovered/#.XdoIKuhKi00 There definitely was a resin Golden Sahara offered, though I can't recall how complete (or incomplete) it was. I want to say I recall seeing it in an older issue of SAE? Really, there is an incredible amount of detail in this car, and while not everybody's taste, the craftsmanship is something everyone with an eye for skilled work can appreciate:
  18. Check out the linked article. It addresses the tail lights, though it's not quite clear where the tail lights actually are in that continuous bar/rod. Oh, you're bringing facts into this now? ? ? You're right, it seems likely the model kit served as the influence for the real car's modifications, and the rear end treatments works quite well IMHO.
  19. Not the best pic of the '57 Bel Air box art, but...:
  20. I guess there'll be a screen name change to AZ-Garageguy soon? ? Best of luck in AZ when the haboobs strike. ?
  21. I'll nominate the 1/24 Monogram Revell '37 Ford Coupe kit for a gasser project:
  22. These appear to be polished magnesium Halibrand "small window" 5-slot wheels, seen here with Fred Stone, Doug Cook, and Leonard Woods around the Swindler A Willys: Below, the same Halibrand 5-slots up front, with eight-lug, four-slot mags out back:
