  1. I'm a pro-photographer but have yet to go digital. Of course my color film does get developed in a dedicated film processor and a high quality scan from work and some post PS work but my BW is done all by hand in the darkroom. People always say to me "But you only have 36 shots!?!" Yes, I'm stuck with "just" 36 images per roll but that's all I need to "get" the shot. I have no intention of buying a DLSR and shoot 3600 images only to spend the next 8 hours combing through all that BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH to get the 10-20 I need. And a well done BW in the darkroom is miles ahead of any BW digital image, in my mind anyway. Just old school I guess.
  2. Very cool! I had for a very short time an 83 with a standard V6.
  3. I listen to mostly classic/hard rock, classical and Jazz (drummers). And even though I admit and like Patsy Kline and Billy Holiday I also secretly like Rosanne Cash. Back in the late 80's when Target was getting rid of their vinyl they had her first 4 LP's marked down to 99 cents each. I bought them cause I thought maybe I'd like her more than her father and I did, sorry not a fan of Johnny.
  4. Love that paint job! Merc did make more 4 drs than 2 drs but I assume that the 2 drs are more prevalent today. 1961 Comet 4 door sedan 85,332 $2,053 1961 Comet 2 door sedan 71,563 $1,998 1961 Comet 2 door station wagon 4,199 $2,310 1961 Comet 4 door station wagon 22,165 $2,353
  5. Neat build. And I too liked the show. Heck it got 93% on Tomato meter. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/stumptown/s01
  6. 1980 Mazda 626 4-door. RWD.....it had 3 u-joints that used to fail constantly, the auto trans was sluggish and zapped so much power 0-60 seemed to take forever but the biggest reason it was a POS was the head gasket that used to spring a leak every 1000 miles or so. Oh yeah, rust, I'm talking a lot of rust. Only had that car for 1 year.
  7. My 88 5.0 vert. Been with me now for 20 years, so easy to fix and get parts. 200,xxx miles and it still just runs and runs. And of course that 5.0 sound.............?
  8. You sure do not see many 58 Olds 98's around, very cool car.
  9. Did you know the Dodge was based on a Mitsubishi Galant Lambda from 1976. BTW the Dodge was a late response to the Mustang II. First time I have seen it compared to the Fox Mustang, interesting. https://www.dodgegarage.com/news/article/heritage/2021/03/the-forgotten-challenger-1978-dodge-challenger.html
  10. A friend in high-school (1982) had a Opel GT that had "SM VET" on his personal plates. LOL
  11. I've always liked the Gremlin because my Pop had a 71. I remember he really liked it a lot. He lost his job and to sell it and then later got a 73 Hornet 4 door.
  12. Same here.

  17. I find all kinds of crazy stuff at my local thrift shop. I mostly go there for typewriters, vinyl LP's and VHS tapes. Found a few model kits and tons of loose Lego bricks. Just recently I found a really nice Yamaha steel string acoustic guitar with case for $24.99.
  18. Nice Pony's!!!!! My 200,000+ mile 88..... And my 85 2.3L notch.....
  19. I'm thinking of using the Police/drag notchback kit with the New Monkey's GT vert kit, only thing is the notch is 1/25th and the vert is 1/24th.
  20. I buy all the 8 tracks I see at my local thrift shop. They sell for 49 cents, I resell on the Bay for around $3-5 each. I even found a sealed recordable 8 track......!
