G’day Joe, couple of shots here, the instrument panel is the kit decal and the seat harness is Tamiya tape, the kit didn’t have a pilot figure or a harness, so l had to improvise. 👍🏻

I’ve always liked this year of the Fury. The 4 door version was sold here in Australia in right hand drive form as the Dodge Phoenix. I like what you have done so far. I’m following this one. 👍🏻

Sweet little Vette. The C2 shape always looks great. Agree about the eye watering prices the 1/1 versions command, it’s one of the reasons I like to build, the 1/25 version is a bit more affordable! 😄

G’day Joe. It’s SMS paints Monterey Green, it was the colour of the original car l owned back in the 80’s. I’ve got plenty of it left and l was thinking of doing the AMT 72 corvette roadster l have in the stash that colour, because it’s pretty close to Elkhart Green that was offered on Corvettes that year.👍🏻

G’day Joe. Yes, it’s easy to get carried away with mud and wear on armour, but I reckon you have the balance pretty well in the ball park here. Nice job. 👍🏻

G’day Don. The Revell 32 Fords are great kits to build. I did the 32 5 window coupe version recently and it went together nicely and was a joy to build. I’m with you on this one. 👍🏻

I’ve got a thing for black cars with red interior trim, especially when the paint is like glass. I’m in love with this one. 👍🏻

G’day Don, that sucks! I hate it when that happens. Looking at the pics, I can’t see a way out of it without rubbing the bonnet back gently and respraying. I had pretty much the same issue recently with a 67 Impala I’m building, had to redo it, just couldn’t live with the blemish. Your Chrysler is looking great, so it’s worth biting the bullet and respraying. 👍🏻

G’day Michelle, that is one tough XB, and I’ve seen some tough looking XB Hardtop Falcons in my time. That wide body Mustang kit adapted well to the XB body. Nice work. 👍🏻👍🏻

G’day all, bit more progress today. Sprayed the Q bumpers with the SMS Hyperchrome. It was my first time using this stuff and, I must say it has a really nice mellow chrome finish when sprayed over a gloss black base. Got door handles , mirrors and other miscellaneous stuff to paint and this one should be done. 👍🏻

I just use the soft microfibre cloths you get from Supercheap Auto, works well for me. 👍🏻

I’d love to see the look on the rego inspectors face when you put this one over the pit! 😂 seriously though, I’m enjoying these patina style builds Luke . 👍🏻

G’day Brock, I remember back when I was in high school in the 70’s getting the custom car magazines and there was always several cool custom FX -FJ Holdens featured. I’ll be on board for this one. 👍🏻

G’day Don, l used to work with a guy who raced an FJ back in the 70’s at the Baskerville and Symmons Plains tracks down here. They were very popular racers as you know, due to their light weight and you could get a fair amount of horsepower out of those old grey engines. Still see the occasional old Holden at the historic race meets.

G’day Don. You have quite a nice shine on the body straight from the can. Should you polish out? Personal preference mate, if you do, perhaps Tamiyas polishing compounds applied with a soft cloth would be enough to bring out a little more shine.

Neat looking 55 there. That’s a great collection of Chevys too. I remember you posting that beat up old Nova on the forum some time ago, was impressed with the realistic patina! . Top stuff. 👍🏻
