  1. Nice work, Chris. I know what you mean by learning with every build. And it never stops. I've been building for over fifty years, and I still learn and develop significantly with every build. In fact, in the last fifteen years my rate of development as a builder has only increased as I get deeper into scratchbuilding, attempt or create new techniques, and absorb knowledge and inspiration from this site.
  2. Daniel has it right. 'Highest f stop' refers to the highest number, which means the smallest aperture.
  3. Mine hasn't arrived in Nova Scotia yet, either, though I can't remember when my subscription runs out. Is there a way to determine this without the shipping label?
  4. Good looking Galaxie. Nice style.
  5. The engine looks killer. Great period vibe.
  6. Welcome to the forum, Chris.
  7. Interesting project. Nice work so far.
  8. Welcome to the forum, Dom. Post up some of your builds when you get a chance. Cheers.
  9. Welcome to the forum, Geoffrey. Fine looking Camaro.
  10. Welcome to the forum, Will. Some top notch work there. Looking forward to seeing more. Cheers.
  11. Thank you Urs. Very interesting stuff. I am a photography enthusiast, but all my work is wildlife and landscapes. Studio work is very different (with regard to lighting and staging) and the finer points generally escape me. Your clear explanation is very helpful. Cheers.
  12. A beautiful build of Grump's Nova. Nice attention to the fine details. Love it!
  13. This is one of the places where an airbrush really shines. Spraying vents, gills, scoops, and details with good coverage of everything, but without overloading with paint, is a no-brainer with an airbrush. To accomplish this with a spray bomb requires developing some careful techniques, but will still always be a compromise.
  14. Cheers Marcus. I have a couple short-shots for which this method could be an effective repair.
  15. Cool project. Nice attention to detail.
  16. Sad to hear. He was one of my favourite NASCAR wheel men. R.I.P. Cale.
  17. Welcome, Scott. Really digging the Sox & Martin rig. Very cool.
  18. Welcome to the forum, Paul. Looking forward to seeing some of your work.
  19. I bet it's loud.
  20. Is it painted, or molded in black?
  21. I seem to recall some Mopars having orange positive cables, and maybe some Fords too (not sure) but I think most Fords and GMs of the period were black. Likely most foreign cars too.
  22. Nice conversion, beautiful old Ford. I really dig this build. Very nice work.
  23. Welcome aboard, Gord.
  24. Welcome to the forum, Elmer. Nice looking work. Cheers.
