Yup, very sad indeed. Like most people here, I've been a loyal user of Testors products since my age was counted in single digits, but the apathy towards their customers lately leaves one feeling cold. Understanding that this is not the same company that we all knew and loved when we were younger helps a little, but not much. If we wish to know just how much consideration or appreciation we enjoy as Testors loyal customers, we need look no further than the labels on the little square bottles for the last 25 years or so, with their impossibly small and unreadable fonts. And this, at a time when their customer base is aging with dimming eyesight. No consideration or appreciation whatsoever. Sad.

It is possible to reach the point of diminishing returns. I recently spent two years mucking out a large garage that was stocked using that philosophy.

Lovely work on the Vette, Ron. I'm not a big Corvette guy, but I agree, the 1:1 is a truly beautiful stocker. I love the clean, uncluttered look and candy paint, and you have nailed the look on your build. A gorgeous replica of a gorgeous car. Very nicely done.

Nice build. One of my favourites from this era. The Tamiya gold seems a perfect match for the 1:1. Nice work.

MPC sure 'phoned it in' with that one (typical of the era, of course). I would say that for anyone intending to fully detail out the Caprice engine bay, the actual engine used wouldn't matter. You could get away with a Lego brick once it's buried under all of those wires, hoses, and vacuum lines.

Classic working tow truck. Nice weathering, and nice work on the 3D painted bits.

Interesting subject. I had no idea this version of the Ranchero kit existed. Nice work, and will look particularly cool pushing the Willys to the line.

Cool build! I love the British Touring Car era that included Galaxies, Jags, and Minis all competing together. I recently read an article on this very car in Motorsport. You have done a good job of capturing the vibe of the 1:1. Nice work.

I thought so too at first. But the more I look at it, the more I think it's all the same candy green applied with three different degrees of heaviness (if that makes sense). The side panel has a light coat over a silver base, the rest of the car has further coats, and the dark lines around the side panel is more of the same applied heavily. Those dark lines are going to be tough, as they will be quite thin in scale and they don't have a hard edge. At least that's how it looks to me. I think I would try a candy or clear green over a silver base. Tamiya clear green lacquer might be a place to start, though there are proper candy greens out there. Worth spraying a couple spoons and see what it looks like. Oh, and I should sum up by saying I am NOT an expert on these things, so take it for what it's worth. I always thought this was one of the coolest of the early floppers. Are you going to build it?

The Challenger is looking great. Nice work on the paint. It's going to be cool!
