  1. This build is really looking the business. It's coming along very nicely.
  2. I don't recall exactly, except that it has been swishing around my parts box since I was a kid, and the Revell '55 Chevy was one of my first 1/25 scale kits. You are welcome to have this one. The chrome needs to be stripped and a bit of glue rash on the gluing surface to be cleaned up, but it's quite restorable. If interested, send me a PM with your mailing address..
  3. Very cool! I really dig this project. It's coming along great. I really like the hue of white used on the interior parts. What paint did you use?
  4. It depends on how fussy you are, but in addition to Mark's info, the Ford also has the opposite cylinder bank offset to the Chev.
  5. Is this one? (57 Chevy hood shown for scale)
  6. Great looking old work horse. The weathering is fantastic. Very authentic. I love it.
  7. Good looking custom. Very nice finish. I'm glad there are others out there taking years to complete a build.
  8. That is a gorgeous Corvette. A beautiful model with stellar detailing. Top marks all around.
  9. Very helpful information Aaron. Thanks for the comprehensive reply.
  10. David, the Ambulance is coming along very nicely. The emergency equipment details are looking good. I have a question; On the photo above, where did you source the snow tires on the back of the Ford?
  11. Coming along nicely. That is a very nice shade of blue.
  12. It's pretty tricky to get two nicely symmetrical tube halves from one piece of tube. It may be much easier to start with two 3" long pieces of tube and cut away half of each piece. File, sand, trim as necessary to obtain two identical 'halves'.
  13. The Bentley is looking good. Very nice work on those wheels. I've been interested in this kit myself for quite a few years. I'd like to try my hand at this kit.
  14. A very interesting comparison of the primary suspects. Very helpful in navigating the plethora of Datsun Z kits out there. Cheers.
  15. Welcome to the forum, Allan. That is a stunning collection of race cars. Very nicely done. I think you're going to like it around here. Cheers.
  16. That thing is flat out cool. Love the concept.
  17. That is a wicked cool Chevy! Love it.
  18. Sweet Fiat!
  19. Woohoo!!
  20. Has anyone here ever used a watchmakers lathe? I've been curious about these little lathes for years, but they all seem as though they would be subject to chatter. The single fixing point under the headstock, to be attached to the bench or vise, looks like some flexibility would be incurred in the whole assembly, promoting chatter in the cut.
  21. A dehydrator will speed up the cure on all evaporative solvent based paints.
  22. Daniel, that is simply a spectacular model. A masterpiece. The fine intricate details, the finishes, the cleanliness. Outstanding craftsmanship! The result certainly justifies the long journey.
  23. Super cool dragster.
