Kind of hard to duplicate properly in scale,because if my mind hasn't skipped a cog again, these were molded with gold metalflake in the clear.

That"ridge line" on the rear of the body isn't that bad when you remember that it's the body line for the rear door opening..

Same for me, it's just to much of a pain at times to drag everything out, then clean it up & put it all away again.

The locked cabinets probably have more to do more with the loss of inventory than a graffiti problem, in the time I ran a shop the largest theft problem we had was spray paints, & I know that the large box stores in our area that tried the locking cabinets did so to try & cut down on the dummies that think they have to test the colors in the store. It must have proven to be more trouble in the long run, as all have done away with the locked cases.

Just thought I'd let you know what the thing is in the second picture, it appears as though there is a bird of some sort flying on the left side of the picture, I'm not a big bird watcher, but it doesn't appear to be a bald eagle. lol

The cross ram two four manifold was available in'67 I worked in a muffler shop & we got the job of installing the headers, & the intake (they were both factory options, but were in the trunk when delivered) they were usually dealer installed, but for some reason the dealer farmed out the header install to us since we usually did the exhaust work for them anyway, I really never got the story as to why we got the job of installing the intake & carbs, but as long as I got paid it didn't matter to me :-)

Model, or Fiat is using some really thick paint & some really cheap screen on the front vents

The 2.3 motors in the Courier trucks use the Mazda bellhousing & transmissions, their starter is on the wrong side for the ones in the Mustang II. Maybe we'll get lucky & someone will take pity on us & cast one. I'd like one or two for a track roadster, using the side draft webers for induction.

One of the major differences between the 64 1/2's & the 65's are the early Mustangs were 4 lug bolt patterns, & the later ones were all 5 lug.

I'll answer for him, those are the kit tires.

Just a couple of things for future reference, if you ever have to use tape on a model for anything & are left with a sticky residue, you can use good old WD-40 to take it off with no ill side effects, as to using lighter fluid & a cue-tip to remove decals because it works on die casts, most die casts don't use decals, that's why the lighter fluid trick works so well you're actually taking off paint, not a decal.

I think you may have misunderstood me, on the real cars that ribbed panel is stainless steel, with only the tops of the ribs polished, but you could come close by using aluminum Metalizer (the buffing type) and lightly buffing the tops of the panel to give it the illusion that it's polished stainless.

I'm going to say a photo shopped'63 Fairlane kit, those chains could be used to moor the Queen Mary,if they were real.

Lookin' good in that green, but I'm goin' with the Grabber Blue, but for the life of me I can't figure out why Testors went with enamel for it when they have the line of automotive matching paints in lacquer? I know that this shares its floorpan & chassis with other Mustang kits, but this is the first one I've got that the front of the chassis actually meets up with the front inner fenders properly. I don't know if you made the same mistake I almost did, or if it's just a choice you made, but the rear spoiler on the Boss is matte black, not body color, yeah I thought it was kinda dumb too.

Way back when it was a current annual, I had one of these & it was a AMT kit. Mine was brush painted too, a very light blue to match a friends car, but you have to forgive me for that, after all I was only 9 years old & it was the first kit I built by myself. You made a nice car, I'm in a minority, as I like the wheels.

The Pegasus wheels are really nice, but for those that can't find them the ones from the AMT Pontiac kit are just as nice, & if you want to get technical they even have the proper bolt pattern in scale.. :-)

All I am really excited about is those tires & wheels.

The chambered exhaust proved to be one of the less popular options since they did very little silencing of the exhaust sound with a very negligible increase in power.About all they guaranteed was that the local police kept a close eye on you, & it was harder to play the"sleeper" role in street racing negotiations.

Call me a sceptic, but I don't believe anything I see in print, & only half of what I see in person. Less disappointment that way. :-) :-)

Since there are a couple of companies out there that actually produce 1/8 scale car kits it would seem to me that producing some engines in 1/8 scale would be a gimmee, guess that's why I don't work for any of the model companies. :-)

I like it!! Subtle little things like the power brakes and the detailing around the core support make the difference between a nice model, and an excellent one. Is that a 455 snuggled down in there? Too late now, but the only cool thing that would be the cherry on top is a pair of fuzzy dice, or just to be a bit different, a graduation tassle hanging from the mirror.

I constantly amaze my wife while watching shows like American Pickers, Toypicker & the many different storage unit shows, by having to pause & back up to check out the different models, promo's & many other toys that they just toss aside, or take one glance at then toss in the junk pile. Think they'd let a modeler tag along & pick up what they think is useless junk? And on the original subject,I wish I could remember the title of a old war movie I watched on late night TV in the early (very early) '60s it had what was supposed to be a B-24 that was supposed to be crashing, & not only could you see the support wires, but the type of plane changed at least three times before it hit, in one shot it was the original B-24,in another it had morphed into a C-47,& in one shot it had mysteriously became a Lockheed Electra, must've been the aliens.

It's leftover from when that truck came with the"Hemi Hydro" kit as a dual package.
