Received a kinda grail package , first 7 issues of SAE to finish out the collection . Now I have all of them , to go along with my Model Car Magazine , Plastic Fanatic , Model Car Science and Car Model collections .
Got back out in the model shop for the first time in ages , made a mold (from a Franklin Mint convertible) and cast some pieces for my 54 Chevy , head light , tail light , lenses and dog dish hub caps .
I've had the same happen to my Smooth-on too , it has a shorter shelf life (only a couple of months) if it's not refrigerated and degassed (spray in the top of the bottle with computer cleaner , it's nitrogen) when you close it , then you might get 6 months out of it .
Steve , the same trim is on the 72 Chevelle I built , I used some .015 solder to make the trim (got it from Radio Shack) , it's already shiny silver and holds it's place , put it on with clear fingernail polish .
We use a model from Bed Bath & Beyond , ocean waves , rain , babbling brook , thunder , white noise and country "crickets" . Work s great and under $20 .
