Ron These may not be as fast as some other former cop cars. But they are smooth so you don't realize your speed and they run a long time. Enjoy it. I have my Late mothers 02 Mercury version that I have hidden from dad here. Not sure what to do with it yet. After we had it fixed from the last time dad "Bumped" into something we had a Marauder front header panel on it.
You are correct Pete. I will say when you need it it is the best option. No grain, you can use automotive filler when needed, epoxy or super glue to make it stick. We would even drill and tap it at work when needed. We used a generic brand at work.
I would drive by one here like that also around 10 or so years ago. It was flat black or the paint was just faded. It had the fins but looked closer to 18 -20 feet from the road. Not motor on the back and was rougher than most people would want to start with. Clean slate for some. LOL
Steve my brother has a 60 in my dads barn. there is a 351 Cleveland sitting in it with only the motor mounts bolted for decades. He has the headers that are multi piece to fit, if they will. That is a tight fit. I hope he lives long enough to get it going. it has been under cover in the barn since 75. At this point it would make a better drag car than anything else.
