  1. Odd that you couldn't find Molotow at HL. My local HL even moved it into the model kit aisle, it used to be with the markers and art pens. Did you look in both places? I suppose they could just be out of stock, but I know they carry it. I used to get my wrapping wire at Radio Shack, but since they aren't really a thing anymore you may have to search online for an easy source.
  2. Replicas and Miniatures of Md does make Ford 4 cylinder hop up parts. Here's a couple
  3. Thank you Mark and Jens for the info. Now i just have to find that bubble.
  4. Thanks for the info. Back to my original post, did any of the 70 issue custom and drag stuff continue into further versions? Just trying to figure out how to get my hands on those parts, especially the bubble windscreen
  5. I've recently developed an affinity for customized 60's and early 70's vettes. That lead me to discover the original 1970 Corvette kit, and looking to get a little history on it. As was the practice back then I'm guessing it was modified into the 71 the next year. Any history on what became of this tooling? I'm really interested in the unique bubble type windshield and other custom parts and if those parts survived into other variations of the kits.
  6. Looking good. Great color choice
  7. Since they have 2 tools I guess making one stock is a good idea. However you know whichever one they choose will be the "wrong one" to somebody ? But I wonder why they aren't issuing the actual Ghostbusters car (at least not yet announced) since the third movie is supposed to be out this year and the ECTO-1 is prominently featured in the trailers.
  8. -"If the Nova wagon body was, in fact, completely cloned from an old kit" - "Well, if it's truly a cloned body" As the old adage goes, you can lead a horse to water... I just don't understand, when 1-someone who is clearly intimately familiar with the actual tooling of the kit 2- plus a highly respected and published author and hobby historian 3- plus a different industry insider All three people having proof that it is what they say it is. And then add 4- the sticker on the box says "all new tooling" (saying so without it being true could open them up to legal issues) But you continue to have doubts?
  9. Thank you for taking the time to show us the difference. i've heard good things about these enamel paints from several European builders. I'm looking forward to trying them, if I can ever find some locally
  10. Thanks for the info. Looks like I definitely have to pick this one up and use my older issue to build something else. Now where is that Daytona Transporter I've got in my stash?
  11. Doesn't appear to have the Hot Curl, or else it would be pictured on the boxart? I hope I'm wrong
  12. Me too Any idea why they had to re-tool the windscreen?
  13. Totally understand. Thank you all for your vigilance.
  14. Bringing this up in case the mods aren't aware of them. I know the companies constantly change stuff so you may not have been aware. I keep getting this new type of ad that pops up when i click on a topic. Before i can go to the thread i want to view the ad forces me to close it, you can't avoid it.
  15. The headers from the Ford motor in the AMT Phantom Vickie are actually great for a Hemi too if you have one of those kits in your stash.
  16. F+F Resin Casting did a 60 Wagon. They are obviously going to be hard to find since that company has been closed for quite some time
  17. Yes, a slightly deeper offset for rears would be great. I'm guessing something Tom Daniels designed, but hopefully someone will step up with an ID
  18. The 29 turned out great. I may have missed it, but did anyone ID the kit source for these wheels? Once you got them detailed at the end they looked awesome.
  19. Well, it appears the Hot Curl is truly lost to the ages. Because if they had it surely they would have put it back in this issue? Depending on what they do decal and tire wise I might buy one. But I already have several, so they will really have to make it worth it. Maybe wood decals for the inserts? Box art is very nice though
  20. I read elsewhere here that Pegasus (who owns Moebius) is in the process of relocating to a bigger location in Cali. So between the supposed licensing issues they had first, then COVID, and now a move that could be cause for the delay. Also remember, these display models are #D printed renderings. When they were shown not a single bit of tooling had been cut yet. So i think we can still keep our fingers crossed.
  21. If you would like to trade this intake for the one from the 63 vette with webers setup send me a pm. I like building survivor type cars and this intake, since it appears to be a flight of fancy, would look great on a mid-late 60 show rod or custom. Even if you don't want the 63 intake, but would be willing to part with the one you have let me know and maybe we can work something out.
  22. So, I'm getting mixed impressions here? Some say the stuff is very good, others say no. And the images pulled from auctions do not make the parts look good. is it simply a matter of the pics needing to be updated to reflect better/current standards and the seller just hasn't done that? or are those pics representative of current output? I'm talking about gaps, holes layering and such. Base on the images of the unpainted items Tom posted above, it sure looks like the seller just needs to update his images to better reflect current quality output This is a prime example of one of the reason Replicas and Miniatures doesn't have a website. Norm and his wife would rather spend time filling orders and working on product rather than maintaining a website.
  23. Great, another kit series to be on the hunt for. When i've seen these kits in the past I didn't pay much attention to them because they don't fit in my typical area of interest. But after seeing that wild exhaust treatment, the overall good looking amount of detail, coupled with the aggressive stance and body mods I now will have to keep my eyes out for one. The price will probably keep me out (except the GTO or Monte) but if I had my choice I'd really like to have the Camaro out of all of them.
  24. Just curious, what "price guide" are you using? I didn't realize those were still a thing. Not being sarcastic, just didn't know. If you're using eBay as your primary buying source I would look at past auctions to see what the current trend for any item you're interested in truly is.
  25. Dang, I showed up to this revived thread hoping Casey had info of a rerelease of the Sedan. Dang it. I'm not writing off Blitz' management of the Revell USA brand just yet. But watching Revell AG release all new kits (Jaguar, and others) and not seeing anything that wasn't already under development under Hobbico from Revell USA. But I'm not giving up hope yet. it's a new year with new potential.
